Leeds to receive the million quid back after the WYP lost their appeal, maybe nows the time to really stick the boot in and launch a case for the lost of earnings due to the Police limiting the allocations of certain visiting teams.

Ringo, you beat me to it. No amount of irony that 'Wall fans are taking an interest in the actions of the police. All joking aside, maybe plod will start to reduce the cost of policing Leeds/'Wall matches & saving them the hassle of picking up tickets on the way, rather than direct from Millwall's head office.

Ringo, you beat me to it. Maybe we'll now see someone from the 'Wall fan club challenge WYP on the legality of their processes over issuing tickets for Leeds/'Wall matches.

Boggers i drew lots and so replyed to this one<laugh>, i think it will be interesting to see whether Hull have any success with their grievance with WYP over the Huddersfield restrictions.
If they win and get it overturned hopefully the Millwall Supporters Club and MFC could launch legal preceedings as to the legality of our restrictions.

no one can ever say we wont win anything this season, the million quid in the coffers should be enough for papa,s mooring and servicing costs in monaco for the next twelve months !

Not good news that. my guess a total ban on away fans is soon to follow, Tax payers will not want to foot the costs thats for sure <doh>

The Police would have to produce stonewall evidence that allowing Millwall fans to travel freely is likely to lead to disorder, which if they had any would warrant arrests for 'Conspiracy to cause a breach of the peace', the reason they have been able to impose these restrictions in the first place for so long is through the expensive tax-payer funded Football Intelligence Unit is by quoteing 'acting on intelligence received' without having to produce this information due to confidentiality.
Therefore to impose a total ban they would need to be more open with what information they have, if they did that the cash cow that is the FIU would have to be closed down.

i can remember many years back we once had to travell away by train only and we had to collect our tickets for the match on the train, a few coppers at Waterloo or Kings cross, or where ever then a few coppers to take you to the ground, i thought that worked quite well. with 20mins or so between train times so one lot were at the stadium as the next lot were just arriving and so on. why cant the same thing be done ?

I think that was when we played Weymouth in the FA Cup Mighty(1984?),a better idea but not a success as many of us sourced a ticket for the game and went early to make a day of it, i remember when our train pulled in there were TV cameras and reporters all over the place, one was stupid enough to ask my mate "are you going to the match?", his answer was "am i ****,fish 'n chips and bingo on the front, thats what its all about"<cheers>
