still really proud of the bhoys! and let's not forget that they are still only boys. well done and HAILHAIL
Can I just say , last night getting into the ground was a disgrace , was there 7 0'clock and still missed the first 25 mins . One man checking passports and tickets before getting to the turnstiles , getting through them was shambolic as well , remember all this was done in pouring rain.Last night I made my live sky sports debut , close up of me at the start of ' here we go ten in a row song '
Juve wont win the competition ... a more clinical team (like Dortmund or Bayern) would defeat them. However, there is a huge gulf in class between Serie A and the SPL... Celtic done amazingly well to even reach group stages .. to qualify for last 16 was beyond expectaions.
Juventus might have a 100 million team , but in 2013 how the hell can they not produce decent toilets ?? Even during the day in the pubs it's just a hole in the ground , the toilets in the ground flooded had to be closed ,Milan 2007 was the same , Italy a country of culture !! I don't think so .
Old Brockville used to be the worst , the joke was , we're you at the shallow or deep end , when you went to the toilet. Last night was just the deep end ( ankle deep ). It's on trips like that your pleased you only have to stand up ones and not sit down ones !!!!
Turin is a ****ehole of a city mate. Always has been, always will be. On the game, I thought both Matthews and Wanyama were a class above until they both went off. I know everyone seems to think Hooper and Wanyama will be off in the summer, but I think most EPL clubs would be improved by having a player like Matthews who still has years of development ahead of him.
I thing it would take either a brave man or else an idiot to forecast for certain that Juventus won't win the Champions League. I was mighty impressed by the way That they had all the men they needed in both penalty areas when there was likely to be a decent ball in from Celtic or an attacking ball from themselves. We don't remember the slip ups and mistakes we may have made in other Champions League games. Hooper could have lost the ball as he did for the first goal , in any other game and we would win it back. Numerous times we lost the ball In similar positions in both games against Barcelona. If our goalie couldn't hold On to the shot and it was difficult as it was so greasy, well he couldn't push it to Safety as he would have to push it two thirds way across goal. I would be slow to criticise izzy too much ,as Juventus picked out his lack of height and waited to get an opportunity to exploit it. Then they executed superbly . No disgrace , if Juventus have their key men fit and in form we could have been Beaten by the winners.
Harry, on BBC radio Scotland at half time a reporter said he was with 400/500 Celtic fans who arrived about 40 mins early, and were kept out until K.O time. They got through one gate but there was another. They were kept there by police and stewards until just about the time Juventus scored, then they were let in without passports or tickets checked. There would be some crack if Celtic treated Italian fans like that.
Super after getting through passport and ticket check,2 options were available left you went upper , right for lower but with soaking wet tickets a lot of fans took the wrong option , people then got to the turnstile only to be knocked back , getting them out was causing the problem . The whole organisation was a shambles .
Meelan in 07 was the week after a cop had been killed at a game. The Hooped hoardes were told there would be passport checks and all sorts before the game. Folk were buying tickets oot of banks with no bother, let in with no bother and applauded out by the feds and the opposition fans. And yes, the toilet facilities in the san siro were pish.
