Yeah, chuck Anderson into the mix and he's probably surplus to requirements to be honest. He'd never get a game.
Nani and Anderson plus cash (probably a lot of cash) for Ronaldo and Di Maria would make my summer. Flog Young or Kagawa if we need to then we'll be sorted. If we made that deal I wouldn't mind if we had to sell De Gea and replace him with Begovic to free up some cash. Never gonna happen, but a man can dream...
Dont think we will get Di Maria and Ronaldo tbh. looks like it will be if reports are true Out: Scholes and Giggs (retire), Welbeck, Young and De Gea and possibly Rio if he doesnt sign new contract In:Lewandowski, Ronaldo, Modric/lampard and Begovic/Mignolet
Bleh. We won't go in for Lewandowski. I doubt he'd leave Dortmund or turn down Bayern to be our 3/4th striker. I could see him starting more games than Hernandez, but he'd come on as a sub a lot less often. I'd feel bad for Welbeck as well, puts everything he has into his game every time he plays and he's a youth product. Are Begovic and Mignolet better than De Gea now? Then consider the potential De Gea has. Would be stupid to ditch him now. I'm not sure why we'd be remotely interested in Lampard, what will he bring in that we don't already have? Goals from the midfield? We have 3 strikers that score quite regularly as well as goals from everyone on the team. Evra, Evans, and Rafael have 10+ goals combined this year. Rio will sign a new contract. He'll probably get the Giggs contract, of continuous 1 year extensions until he actually retires. I wouldn't be too bothered if Young were sold, although we wouldn't get close to breaking even on the transfer fee. He's a good player to have in the squad.
They might want more than £80 million, but they wouldn't get it in the current market, not with Ronaldo now 28 and only having two years left. And wages will be partly covered by Chevrolet who want to make him their 'global brand ambassador' or some such. The deal may well not happen, but if it doesn't happen then it will almost certainly be for sporting rather than financial reasons.
here we go again Rooney's time at Old Trafford is up, now no one expected those storys to start today haha
Rumors won't stop until summer window closes. Fergie can come out and tell the media to **** off with the Rooney for sale nonsense and they'll keep going. Sad that a tactical decision will now fuel a nonexistent transfer saga for the next couple of months.
Praps not - maybe the media will be so busy flapping their tits off about Rooney that we'll be able to pull off a few good deals before they get wind of it and alert every man and his dog to the fact. We had a lot of trouble with Jones after the media reports of our interest led to pretty much every club in the PL trying to hijack the deal.
Whose even available that'll be better than what we currently have. For all of our moaning about needing to improve our midfield, Cleverly and Carrick have been fantastic. I can really only seeing us signing some squad players to fill in the spots for people leaving.
Strootman is the only player I think is definitely on the wanted list, I still think Fergie will be looking for another winger though, with Young not having a real impact this season so far and Nani struggling to find an kind of consistency I think a new player is very possible, someone like James Rodriguez or Di Maria (if rumors are to be believed), or maybe another highly rated youngster like Viktor Fischer.
You forgot Ronaldo. Out of all our wingers, Young has performed the best this season. Not that that means much.
Yeah wingers have probably been the biggest disappointment in the team so far. Valencia not showing the form of last season, Nani being inconsistent as **** and Young being average. James Rodriguez would be good and probably the cheaper option to Di Maria. Still like to see another cm come in though, despite how well carrick and Cleverley have been doing. Let's not forget that Carrick is now 31 so be interesting how many more seasons he can maintain being a first choice competitive cm, so be good to bring someone in that could replace him in the next season or two so they are settled and adapted when the time comes.
am afraid this game will signal the end of road for Nani and possibly Rooney if news are true (although i don't believe it but who knows).. it will be interesting to see how Sir Alex will handle the Qs in his next press conference bcz am dead certain they will ask him about Rooney
I don't get all the Rooney leaving talk, one player isn't bigger than the club and as good as Rooney is he doesn't just automatically pick himself. Maybe he had been poor in training, maybe he was ill, or maybe it was strictly tactical, at the end of the day it was the managers decision and that's what he's paid for.
