What is stupid about it? I really dont get it. If my list was made up by vague descriptions of the album cover you'd all say i was ****ing ******ed. Well you do anyway.... but you see my point I assume Im exempt or it wont be much of a contest.
What's the weak imitation of bellend of the week that the Millwall do? Soppy bollocks or something, the bloke who nicked the idea off us is indeed bellend of the week. I'm still not convinced it's one word though.
BotW actually needs resurrecting. We should have a weekly nomination thread going up on a Monday where people can err, nominate parties to be included in the voting (that stays open all week of course) then at the weekend there should be a vote to decide the winner. It'd make more sense than soppy bollocks (I still don't actually understand the criteria for it or the relevance of the name). I think Ashley Young is still the current holder.
Doors, LA Woman Big Audio Dynamite, This Is Big Audio Dynamite Fleetwood rumours You could say oasis was my era for music and use to love the sound ! but now i just wanna punch the wanna be hard men manc ****ers in the face
I think The Stone Roses is top so far. Rumours is a fantastic album nonetheless. On another note, just thought I'd listen to a couple of albums I haven't listen to in ages - Hot Fuss and Sam's Town by The Killers. Absolutely brilliant. Sam's Town in particular. The Killers were the first band that I truly got into (being 9 when Hot Fuss came out, I was only then properly getting into music). When I first heard them, I could've sworn they were Brits.
When Fleetwood Mac really were Fleetwood Mac....although Rumours is up there ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CT7mzrJunc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN4FMVqq1cg
While I'm at it.....ploughing through all these threads.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ul-cZyuYq4&list=AL94UKMTqg-9DdcBmjCvkB_NQynJdiD1Ok
Nowt wrong with Supergrass, The Manics & OCS. First album i bought was Manics- This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. Bizarre choice because i was quite young, but i liked stuff like If You Tolerate This etc. Second was some years later, and The Strokes This Is It. Hence why i chose it. Blur are ****e though. Always prefered Oasis.
I am someone who, i guess, can be seen as music orientated- so seeing this thread, i couldn't resist Looking at the albums already posted, there seems to be a common trend with Oasis/ Stone Roses/ The Smiths. So based on that, i'll focus on something fresh, contemporary etc. 1) Mumford and Sons- Sigh no More 2) Biffy Clyro- Only Revolutions 3) The Courteeners- St. Jude Thanks.
Correctomundo! However, and this is not simply an attempt to be controversial, I actually prefer Antics.
I am just surprised so many people put nevermind. I know it is the more iconic of their albums but it is certainly the worst of the ones they put out. Bleach and In Utero are far superior.
I don't mind Oasis at all , Definitely Maybe is their best album , best of all time though ? nah no chance
Fair enough. Like I said, it's all a matter of musical taste. I love Oasis, Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory and The Masterplan are among my favorite albums. I must say though, picking your 3 fave albums in impossible. Even picking 10 (for me, anyways) is tough.
