    1. Clearly, a problem reviewed after the event wouldn't change THAT event, but a heavy punishment for the cheating that gets called simulation to both the player and the club will minimise the times it happens in teh future.

    2. The accuracy of the officials is on numerous review sites, in particular sites that highlight the failings in technology. Some of these sites are actually the sites of football bodies that up to very recently rejected teh goal line technology as not being fit for the purpose. (No, I'm not about to hunt the links again)

    3. I would expect a cross section of experts to be on a panel and for them to work to a clear criteria.

I've always wondered why they've never reviewed and punished cheating after a game like Dutch says. They can do it for violent conduct, they can rescind an unfair red card, so why can't they punish diving and other forms of gamesmanship?

The diving at the KC was beyond embarrassing...Zaha was running at Chester at one point late in the game and lost control of the ball temporarily, Chester stepped in and got the ball, which he does often to advancing defenders. The ball then bounced off Zaha who had lunged in to get it back but fell over as a result....he then had the gall to claim that he'd been fouled?! I couldn't believe it ( I was 15 yards away from it in the west stand)..he knew he'd lost control of the ball, he knew Chester had won it cleanly but yet he appealed to the ref. Its obviously in the lads mindset to appeal for everything as it puts defenders under constant pressure, if the ref is weak and falls for it then the defender will most likely get a yellow thus freeing Zaha to keep doing it. Bolasie also tried it on with little success.

Last night sounds like they had the perfect storm of incompetence in the officials and it went their way. I can't remember the last time Elmo or Brady have done the same (constantly appealing).

They can, Ive posted it many many times about this. They simply choose not to. The best example was when Adriano (sorry....) got a 4 match retrospective ban from the Italian FA (again, sorry) when he dived to successfully win a penalty.

Perhaps they're worried a raft of bans would shatter the image of the English game? Id suggest it would improve it.

Seems falling over yourself is a clear cut penalty these days, god forbid

I love the way they think we don't understand that fast skillfull wingers cutting inside wins penalties, I'd like to point them to Stewart and Brady last season, doing it all season long just as Zaha and Bolasie do for them. Fortunately Stewart and Brady are honest and don't cheat and as a result I don't think either won a penalty for us all season long.

They say there's diving and forcing a foul, yes then there's being honest and staying on your feet trying to play football.

Looks as if most of them have only started watching football since christmas <laugh>

    I've just seen you highlights.

The first was a pen but the second was a joke.

Bollocks. The first penalty the contact was **** all. The only way your cheating fooker could of done his majestic rolls would of been if Meyler had taken his legs away. any contact was upper body and as soon your player felt the presence of Meyler he fell over. with regards the diving you only have to look at the foul stats, everytime we tackled one of your players the ref blows for a free kick. Shame the ****ing oscars have gone we could of nominated your ****ing team for best actors slot.

My reply to this on the Sky Sports page has caused uproar with Palace fans, apparently I called their victory "Lucky". They deserved to win through Phillips' brilliance; however their pathetic premadonnas ruined the match completely and fooled the weak referees

I truly wish I'd posted this before the game as it just sounds like sour grapes now.

A workmate asked me if I was going to Palace and I said I'd softened my view recently, but there was a time when I was close to loaning my pass out when they came to the KC after seeing far too much of their obnoxious style of 'play' in the past.

My prediction to him was that it would be a game decided by weak officials and cheating players.

    I must have crystal balls.

It's odd that even though managers and players change, some teams retain the same ethos. In Palace's case, they typify a lot of what is wrong with modern football, from cheating players to ****wit fans. After goal music and drums ffs.

Neither the first nor the second was a penalty. The first was a result of incompetent refereeing as Moxey was clearly looking for the penalty and went to ground far too easily. The second penalty was an absolute farce and I still have no idea what it was given for. I can't help but further lose faith in the referees in this league week by week.

Palace fan here , first of all totally agree with you about the 2nd penalty , but come on ,Also, how on earth did the ref take so long to book one of your players - you kicked us all over the park, Williams and Zaha in particular , so calling us cheats is a bit unfair .
Obvious you are upset that you lost but we did deserve the 3 points .

Wish you the best in your remaining fixtures.

Anyone know who Palace have last game - Let us pray Karma decides to get one of the opposition players to clearly and blatantly dive to win their side a penalty which gives them the victory over diver Zaha's team to deny them either automatic promotion or a play-off place. Then watch the explosion from Selhurst Park as their fans erupt in fury
