As I appear to have been involved in the 'abuse', I can certainly state that I never asked for the thread to be closed. I did contact a Mod to inform him/them that I was going to get involved with a particular individual and why and that it could get nasty. I did not ask, nor did I need any intervention. Just to make that point clear.
I agree. When you see some of the stuff that is considered acceptable, I'm amazed that anything is deemed worthy of a ban. I know, wait for it...........
