Think that we match up fairly well with Norwich; they're very good defensively at home, but even on friendly ground they aren't prolific scorers, and they aren't the pace-and-power sort that have troubled us. Still, don't think that we're going to walk over them by any means...I'll take a 1-1 draw, with Rodriguez opening the scoring before a quick reply from Becchio.
If Lallana is fit then I'd drop Puncheon ,who was shocking against QPR, and play a front 4 of Lambert Lallana Ramirez Rodriguez
I think I'd play Alberto Seidi on the right and Omar Rowe on the left, with Lallana in the hole and Lambert up front. Forren in for Yoshida and Shaw for Fox, and Robert's your mother's brother.
2-1 Saints. We need it more than them, we'll get two goals early on but Holt'll slot one in on the 65 minute mark, and we'll have half an hour of squeaky bum time. Snodgrass'll miss a sitter on the 87th minute. In other news Reading will beat Villa three-nil.
----------------Boruc-------------- ---Clyne---Fonte---Forren----Shaw--- -----------Cork------Schneiderlin------------- ---Lallana(c)-----Davis------Rodriguez---- --------------Lambert---------------- This team is the best for high pressing. I feel we're more effective with Lallana on the right side as Rodriguez is much better in attack playing on the left whereas Lallana is just as effective on either side. If Lallana is out play Guly instead
Feeling groggy (as Poche put it) ? I'd have expected him to be involved in a game 7 days later in all honesty.
Ahhhh that explains it! Yeah they asked Mauricio, he said he just kept feeling groggy so was withdrawn.
3 defeats at home, Liverpool, man city and Chelsea. A tough team to beat and break down at home, and I would also say we dont play open football. Were so defensive at the moment its boring and annoying. I will go for either a draw or a win for you guys as we can't score for toffee!
Evening Saints, not sure about this game. You usually do well at Carrow Road. When we played you last we got turned over. Your introduction said we like to play flowing football, which used to be true. We are much more defensive these days which makes us difficult to breakdown most of the time. There is the odd glimpse that we can play decent football I.e. Spurs at home , first half but this has been the exception lately, so am going for a draw, 1-1 with the old mates Holt and Lambert scoring.
Looking forward to it. Lunch with my NCFC season ticket holding mate in the nice bit across from the ground, friendly home fans, tight ground, good atmosphere and hopefully a few goals..... 0-1 Saints.
The main problem for me against QPR was that never attacked with energy or speed, would love Guly to start in place of Ramirez and with Mayuka and or Rowe on the bench
