Why, do you think someone's listening Tramore? Do you think what is written on here actually has an impact on the result? Interesting.

For the record, despite us having been demonstrably the worst team in the division for the season to date, I expect us to win both of these games. They will be tight, horribly tense affairs, and I do not expect to see much good football, 2 wins by one scrappy goal each is fine by me. Sunderland really are **** (though not necessarily more **** than us) even their own fans think so, and just remember how bad they were when we played them up there. Villa more capable of the unexpected, played well against City but there was no expectation - against us at home all the pressure is on their kids, who have repeatedly folded this season.

Supporting QPR may be damaging to your mental health, but its never boring.

Luck? We've been due a bit of luck this season to be fair when you consider the injuries we've had and the way that which could go wrong for us generally has done. Hope we haven't used it all up, we could do with a bit more.

The more I look at the remaining fixtures the more I am thinking a Reading win on Saturday might be the best result for us.

I'm not unfortunately, i'll be watching a dodgy stream though. You're a lucky man Cerny! Fingers crossed Chisora gets his license by then. I wouldn't be surprised if they find another brit to replace groves as well. I still think it's a bit dodgy that he just dropped out a couple of weeks before, everyone had bought their tickets, he could have shown a bit more respect to the fans.

I actually think Villa is the more winnable of the two. Sunderland are playing okay and LR is understandably one big bag of nervousness right now which quickly transmits to the players. Villa play the type of game that leaves themselves open to the kind of smash and grab we saw against Southampton. Having said that, given the standard of our play in the last few games its our opponents who should be looking for a win.

I dont know really. First we have to take two wins in a row for the first time since god knows when. After that everything could be possible.....

Does it even matter? Finglas is right. One game at a time. If we win both, it really don't matter, to me or the team, whether we are stil in the bottom 3 or not. We will have rejoined the dog pack with an appetite. As long as we come out top dog by the end of the season.

I wouldn't want to Jinx things, but i think if we win our next two we'll be out of the relegation zone. I would predict our rivals will gain these amount of points from their games- Reading: Villa(3)/Utd(0) , Villa: Reading(0)/Us(0) , Wigan: Everton(0)/Toon(1) , Saints: Norwich(3)/Liverpool(0)
So we'd be a point above wigan, 2 above villa, 4 behind saints, and hopefully above Reading on GD.
These are the first two league games we'll be playing where harry was in charge for the previous legs, and both those games we arguably should have won. Still, two draws means there should be no inferiority complex amongst the players. So far this season, the only time harry has had a second crack at a team (west brom), we've won the match.

Thank you Tramore. What is it with people who constantly get carried away with QPR? One win and all of a sudden a thread like this? It happens every single pre-season too and its bloody embarrassing. No wonder the Norwich and Swansea fans are sticking the knife in now.

Just try and keep it level-headed and humble for once for Christ's sake.

You make some good points there Grifter. I think Southampton might lose all of there next three games though in March including Norwich on Saturday. I still think they will stay up but they will be well and truly in the mix if that happens

I disagree Swords, nothing wrong with a bit of positive energy on the board for a while,f*** knows, it's been lacking for the majority of this season (Not without reason).
No-one in here has said we are certain to win the next two games and it all seems pretty level headed to say they are in fact winnable.

What p***** me off more is when people say to opposing fans ' I really don't want to see you go down'......Personally I don't give a f*** who goes down, as long as it ain't us.

Agree with you there. That's yet another stupid saying.

I'm also with you 100% RE the positive thing. I bumped up my "anything is possible" thread and its good everyone is contributing to that positive feeling.

I do however think that there's a fine line between reasoned optimism and cockiness. The former is a real help, the latter dooms you to disaster.

If we stay up and no one can ensure anything ... that's the magic then I doubt if many of us will mind if there are deaths or domestic pet cruelty involved in keeping us up

Stan, not at all, but we all saw last week how cocky the saints posters were, whilst we by and large remained pessimistic, thought a draw would be a resonable result.....the geist of what i am saying is lets not get out hopes up too much for saturaday....you are right in that it will be scrappy tense affair and I believe we would all be chuffed to bits to edge it 1-0 with a deflection of someones arse into the top corner.......we can be positive but this "2 wins and we can be out of the relegation" carp is doing no one any good.......one game at a time......

I was a little harsh there Tramore, sorry, I know where you are coming from. But I am building myself up into a state of high excitement for Saturday, so I can be a one man wall of sound from the top of the Loft. Bit of optimism helps. As a bit of a football purist, this is one of the rare (but less so over the last 2 seasons) times when I would be delighted to win very ugly indeed.

No probs stan....we can be quietly confident/optimistic but we have been here so many times before that it sometimes is good to keep a lid on it.....unleash the tension on saturday and make LR a caldron of sound in support of the lads......

Hi Ian - my brother, a retired ANZ banker lives in Melbourne, but he never was, or wanted to be, a 3rd generation R - it was always just Dad & myself at the games in the late 60's early 70's before I emigrated to Canada.

That Villa game last season was just so disappointing, especially for you at the game - I thought we were going to roll over them 5-0 or something. BTW I love good curry dishes too, especially lamb vindaloo, the spicier the better, although you do experience that "burning ring of fire" sensation the next day!

I do find it amusing when people say "dont get carried away" or "threads like this are embarrassing"........FIRSTLY, I never said that we WILL win the next 2 games.....nor did I say that the results will also go our way and that we would definetley be out the relegation zone.

Everything QPR has seriously pissed me off this season...I havent enjoyed a single moment....& have been resided to relegation since December....I still believe we will go down, as I dont feel we have the attacking creativity to amount such a comeback....previous form throughout the season indicates this.

BUT as a supporter you have to have a degree of positivity....or hope that things may change and go your way, or whats the point.......this is football forum thats based around discussions that relate to QPR and its nice to be able to talk about something a little bit positive, even if its all crushed once the mackems bring us back to reality....unless we should just open up threads like "Tarrabt is crap" or "I hate Bosingwa! or "what shall I have for dinner"

Im well aware we need to take it one step at a time, but without positivity we may as well just give up.

the Southampton game was even and could have gone either way so you really cant go by that match, both teams fighting a relegation battle in reality..Just keep winning is all you can do and hope the teams above the relegation places drop points. I do have my doubts that you will win enough points to overcome the 4th 5th place teams as i cant see them losing enough games for qpr to gain much....
