To be fair, they did well not to go all Didier 'it's a ****ing disgrace' Drogba on him.

Well, at least this distinguished panel of failed managers (and the tosser that is Chiles) can't agree whether it is a red card or not.

It's true what Roy Keane just said, paraphrasing :

'Everytime I got sent off in my career I asked myself if I gave the referee a chance to send me off. If the answer was yes, then it was out of my hands'

Meaning it was down to the ref and I couldn't complain.

Mourinho giving a bizarre interview there. Then again it's another quirky quote to put in the "Special One" scrap book and the British media can lap it up until he returns in the summer.

SAF did what Wenger has been criticised for not doing- which is to recognise and nullify the threat of the opposition. He was doing it fine until the ref intervened. Whilst these two sides have different attributes, they are evenly matched and cancelled each other out for most of the two legs. Some controversy was always going to decide it and not for the first time in Europe, an inept ref who couldn't handle a fast paced game, did for Utd. If we had refs like crikey what a c*nt in the PL, it would finish up 5-a-side most games.

Keane and Chiles are right on this. Not even a remotely dodgy decision. Endangering the safety of another player = red card. Case over. Doesn't matter if he was aware of the player being there, if he wasn't, he should have been.

Keane showing why he failed as a manager, with his bully boy opinions and temper when people dont agree.

You should be ecstatic if the ref sends off your whole team when we visit Stamford Bridge, then. <laugh>

All the United fans and their sycophant media claimed Torres on Cleverley was a red, that was an identical challenge. They can't have it two ways.

I thought he was acting like a twat shouting down Southgate like that whilst he was talking and then when Southgate finally got to finish explaining why he thought Nani was unlucky, he replied "well obviously" like a petulant child that's just been shown up.

I think he is correct..you have given the referee something to question...therefore it's the refs shout.

No comparison between the two, DL. Nani's watching the flight of the ball the whole way and it's up in the air. Torres? Not so much.

I feel sorry for whoever's playing them next. They're bound to get all of the decisions from some petrified ref. <whistle>

    exactly, the guys a bully.

And what does keane know about controlling a ball mid air?

He was just thinking back to his career and why his foot would be high off the ground.

Exactly. He dismissed the intent but all referees have to be able to use commonsense, if not Nani can be rightly sent off there whether there was a player there or not as he "knew other players were on the pitch" so could have kicked one.

Roy Keane might be a United legend but he's a bitter, old hypocrite with low footballing intelligence and a nasty attitude.
