    well i will say this, well played Madrid i have no issue with them and ultimately they have won as they have scored more goals that we did over 180 minutes, however the referee should hold his head in shame for ruining a fantastically poised tie.

    that said though despite having 10 players for 30 minutes we still forced their keeper into a string of great saves, we have done ourselves proud, i just wish the game had been given the chance that all deserved to witness but were robbed of by one horrendous decision!

    I was about to mention the clapping too but at least he went back and shock hands with all the officials too. I can understand a heat of the moment reaction, especially when you've just been robbed!

    To be honest, I thought Utd got very lucky both in the first half when Real had a goal ruled out for a nothing challenge in the box on RVP and even more so in the second half when the ref missed Rafael handball off the line. If he'd spotted that it would have been a pen and a red card anyway, so Utd can't really complain.

    Mourinho wants that Utd job so badly. His behaviour to Fergie after the decision, his manner towards the end and his post match interview.

    Chelsea fans dreaming if they think he wants to return there.

    How a referee that inept could have been let within 100 miles of a game this important defeats me.

    Magnificent show of respect between two great managers as well and classy as hell of Mourinho to withdraw gracefully before the final whistle. <ok>
