We are helped by Reading playing Villa but I think we desperately need to get back on track by taking at least a point from Carrow Road. We haven't played Norwich a lot in recent times but beat them last time we played there in the Championship back in 2010. The previous match this season ended one all with their goal down to a bad Gazza mistake. Rickie scored our goal. Team selection is tricky. After his goal last night I'd be tempted to play Forren alongside Jose to combat Holt. Forren hasn't a lot of pace but then neither has the Norwich striker. Hopefully Shaw will be fit as we need to keep Snodgrass quiet. Midfield Cork and Morgan are automatic so do we play Davis or start with Gaston. Is it Adam or Punch? Up front is it Jrod or Guly? My 11 for what it's worth Boruc Clyne Forren, Fonte, Shaw Punch, Cork, Morgan, Gaston Jrod Rickie Norwich like to play open football which should suit us so let's hope it's a good game but we can get back to winning ways! COYR!!
I'm going to the game and for some reason I've got a good feeling about this game. Rickie hattrick and the Saints fans to taunt Holt all game: "you're just a **** Rickie Lambert".
I would go with: ----------------Boruc-------------- ---Clyne---Fonte---Forren----Shaw--- -----------Morgan---Cork------------- ---Puncheon------Davis------Guly---- -----------------Rickie---------------- Subs: Davis, Yoshida, Richardson, JWP, Gaston, Rowe, Rodriguez.
I'm more confident of the players being really up for this one and think they will be back to playing as well as we know they can. Add in some clinical finishing and a dash of luck and hopefully we can get something. Like many others I was dreading the QPR game, I always feel more relaxed and confident when we're not playing someone that 'we should beat'. This is a winnable game, but Norwich are very good at home and so it's likely to be a closely fought game. Think it will end all square or a narrow win, just not sure who to.
Is Lallana out? If not I'd go for Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw Puncheon Cork Davis Schneiderlin Lallana Rickie Davis, Forren, Richardson, JWP, Ramirez, Guly, JRod If not swap Rodriguez with Lallana, he definitely deserves a start but we just didn't look as dominant without Davis in midfield.
Norwich fan I'm a mate of reckons they're pretty solid at home but struggle to score. He worries our movement may catch them out. I think they've only lost 2 at home all season or something like that. 6 clean sheets.
All of our remaining games are kind of the same to me. I don't know if I would consider us favorites or likely to get a result in any of them. On the other hand, we're not hapless. If we average about a 30% chance of winning each game (and I think it's better than that), that's still three wins in ten and probably enough. So I'm just going in with the attitude of "Why not?" We're going to some of these, so why not this one? I also think somewhere between now and the end of the season Boruc is going to have one of those games where he steal three points for us. I think we go back to Rodriguez up top with Puncheon, Lambert, and Ramirez. Hopefully we can get an early lead, and then put Davis on for Lambert and Guly for Ramirez. That will give us more of a defensive look, but with Puncheon and Rodriguez still dangerous on the counter.
Lovelocum is free to do the next one if he wants. Just thought it was time to discuss and as he hadn't posted ................
lamby, I have to question one of your points, when we left league 1, that was the first of back to back promotions, a feat which you followed a year later! How were we both in the Championship in 2010?
Good spot Dave ruddy head to head web site. I stand corrected! Let's hope its a good game and the best team wins ie: US!
