Id do with this if all fit Reina Jonno Carra Agger Jose Downing Gerrard Lucas Hendo Suarez Sturridge I favour Downing and Hendos defensive discipline over Coutinho, sure a few will disagree though
Being at home, I would go for it and have Coutinho, Sturridge, and Suarez as the front 3. Hendo, Lucas, Gerrard, and the back 5 pick themselves. I would like to assaidi possibly be given a go at some point, especially if it looks like Spurs are tiring.
If it was your formation I think, you would still have Coutinho on the left, therefore Hendo would have to move to the right Hope DS is fit
Lets not take any chances and make sure we get the 3 points so my team for Spurs is Barcelona I reckon they'd win easily.
Strong, plenty of men in midfield, good in possession. ------------Reina------------- -Johnson-Carra-Agger-Enrique- ---------Lucas-Gerrard-------- -----------Henderson---------- ---Coutinho----------Suarez--- ------------Sturridge----------- Suarez and Henderson switching places (kind of) at times. My only concern is if Coutinho has to cover Johnson and defend against Bale. Maybe Downing would be better, or Henderson on the right.
Think Bale MAY play 2nd striker, which could benefit us , I remember last yr Jonno barely crossed the halfway line up aainst Bale, both sides were very cautious. The highlight bein a cat walkin on the pitch if you remember This yr we will be high tempo especially with them playin 3 days b4
------Hendo-------Lucas--------- -----------Gerrard--------------- Suarez----Sturridge---Coutinho like that and you can switch hendo and Gerrard, the front three interchange, etc.
Yeah like this one..Henderson to cover for Johnson and help with bale ,although he does tend to wander more these days. If he goes over to the left I am quite confident Enrique could handle him anyway. But we shouldn't worry to much about him, we have far more potent weapons up front esp if Sturridge is fit.
i would be happy if the OP's team was picked. Spurs are deadly on the counter and our defence is not the best. In fact we are tailor made to play into Spurs' hands if we play our typical game from the start.
Daily Post sayin DS will be fit for Spurs http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-ne...87/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
