I thought Sig had done well till that ridiculous miss. What was he doing trying to pass?? <steam> ?? (spending too much time with Lennon!) any player in that position should only want to shoot, again, this has been mentioned on another thread, but Sneezey had gone to ground, he could have gone round him. That showed a lack of confidence for me.

Siggy will come good. He has a goal and an assist in the last week and looked decent to boot. He's still a youngling. Dempsey on the other hand i'm not so sure. He should be old and experienced enough to have adapted a bit better by now

I didn't think Sigurdsson was low on confidence but he needed sometime to settle with the squad. There's still quite a lot of rough edges to his game but I think he was growing frustrated at having not scored, a couple of keepers have pulled off some great saves from his shots. Now he's got his goal and is playing well, hopefully he'll start hitting the back of the net on a regular basis like we hoped he would.

Afternoon lads, I'm going to this game with my two lads ( 13 and 20 ) Our first ever match at the Lane, I've been to a few away games in The NW namely Blackburn and Burnley ( relatives up there ) but was always in the home section.
Anyway looking forward to a good game even though I think there'll be a few rested. Just a quick question for you all,
We're flying into Stanstead so am I right in thinking we should get the stanstead express and get off at tottenham hale or is there a quicker/better way to get to the ground??
Really looking forward to it and the lads are really excited!!! Hope for a good game and a positive result

What time does your flight arrive ??
I have a timetable here, so we can see what options you have if you don't
don't want to travel from Tottenham Hale to the ground.

    Roo :

Long journey for the guy, so the least we can do.
At least give him the options/caveats, so he can make an informed decision.

The one :-( is that there are no direct buses from Tottenham Hale to WHL.
Which would mean a taxi, or a walk to the high rd + bus.

    Ok. Assuming :

    - landing at 5:30pm.
    - 30 mins from plane exit to train terminus (worst case)
    - match KO at 8pm.

    <processing ...> :)

He could always catch a train from Tottenham Hale to Northumberland Park, they always put loads of trains through there on matchdays so timing shouldn't be an issue.

Stansted to Tottenham Hale from 18:00 to 19:00.
Every 15 mins departure. 30 odd mins to Tottenham Hale.

Cross the platform to the other side ...

18:58, 19:43 to Northumberland Pk. 10 min walk to WHL.

Will see what the options are to Northumberland Pk not
having to go to Tottenham Hale first ...

That I couldn't verify (even on the angliarail website) .
Hope you're right (as the timetabled service is very infrequent) .

You get stuck at the arse-end of the melee getting off the train, and watch your end to
    end time go up. :)

Just checked on Nationalrail.co.uk and they're running 5/6 an hour through there from 5.20 onwards for the match. It's probably the easiest way to get to the ground and could save a bit of time if you get the timings right, even if you can get a bus they can be a nightmare on a matchday especially on a weekday.

The Olive Branch might be a bit of a hole but it serves beer and that's good enough for me, Spurm :D

Edit: Reading it back, Spurm's description probably makes it sound better than it is <laugh>
