I send my kids to a mixed Religion school in Northern Ireland, because every **** there is broken and I don't want my children to develop into bitter ****s like me.

I am moving the family to the Isle of Man in the summer and when asking around about schools I've been told that the Roman Catholic school is one of the best in terms of the education it provides. So as a devout atheist I'm seriously considering playing the Catholic card and sending my kids to a religious school because they will get a better education. If I don't send them to a Religious school then the choice is limited to the catchment area of where I live.

Am I a hypocrite? Maybe - but I don't give a **** as long as it's beneficial to the future of my children.

So the first lesson your kids learn is that it is ok to pretend to be religious in order to push in front of the queue? How do you expect your kids to learn the difference between a little white lie and a real lie when they can turn around to you and say you are two faced?

Faith Schools contribute nothing to our societies problems

Racists and bigots are the only people who have a problem with them

The fact that Faith Schools perform well should shut every **** up

    Well, not really.

Faith schools perform as proportionately well as everyone else.

It's the fact that schools are a place for teaching, and teaching kids that an old magician controls everything from the clouds isn't a responsible way to bring kids up.

Faith schools are bigoted by their very definition, which is why people have a problem with them.
The idea that separatism and segregation doesn't cause any problems is ludicrous, frankly.
Teaching fairy tales shouldn't be part of the curriculum in any learning establishment, unless it's made clear that that's exactly what they are.

No state secondary schools near where Clegg lives, the nearest is Eliot in Putney Vale which is a khazi. Plenty of private schools in the area but he probably wouldn't want to send his kids there because he is a man of the people. Obviously.

    Bigot

Show me where faith schools cause problems.

    How are they causing separatism?

They are not teaching hate but people like you hate them.

    You are the problem.

Note to nursery. Stop reading fairytales.

Where are faith schools causing problems? How about Northern Ireland? Quite a good example, I think.
How are they causing separatism? Because they are separatist by their very definition and help to divide society.
They aren't teaching hate? They teach children that they're evil by nature. That's pretty hateful.

It's not bigotry to be against the forced separation of children by lines of faith during their education. Quite the opposite.
The fact that they exist is appalling, but that they're now state funded is just a joke.

My other half went to an all girls catholic school and the extent of their sex education was one lesson on the plumbing and they were shown a tampon. No wonder the school had such a high teen pregnancy rate.

Mmmm Catholic Schoolgirls (Kentucky Fried Movie!!!)

People who want them shut down are causing the problem...you think NI issues are all about schools?

They are not separatist...anyone can go...but if you go RE is a subject

I must have missed the "evil by nature" class...too busy ****ing a priest I guess

They used to be privately funded...do you think a privately funded religious school is a better idea than one that the government can agree the lessons with?

In this day and age people should remember "secular" doesn't mean "atheist"...I blame the schools

You're just demonstrating more religious thinking here by constantly claiming something without backing it up.
You've consistently claimed that people that want to shut down faith schools, which is a wonderful oxymoron by the way, are causing the problem, yet you've utterly failed to explain how or why.

Anyone can't go to them. I don't know where you got that idea from.

Christianity teaches that we're all evil by nature. Not sure how you missed that. "Why do you call me good? No one is good--except God alone." - Jebus.

I don't think that they should be privately funded, I think that they should be banned. If parents want to teach that crap to their kids, then they should do so when it's not compromising their education.
Children have a right to be educated without a load of indoctrination and superstition thrown in.

Anyone from any denomination CAN go to them, within the catchment area. And some outside, under certain conditions.

The rest of your post is an even bigger big pile of steaming doggy doo doo and warrants no further comment.

    Factoid.

Faith schools are happy to exist as they are. Bigots want them shut down. Therefore they are the problem. There is no rational reason for them to be closed

Anyone can as, in my school, we had a Jew, Muslims and Protestants...that is where I get the idea from

Good for Christianity...but the big scary God is going to get you is not taught in RE

YOU HAVE NO PROOF that their education is being compromised by learning religion at school...you just want it to be so

You want faith schools closed because they are faith schools DESPITE their results...that makes you a bigot
