Yes, the one that Tom Scu would have won the FW on if he had held onto him for longer. He has been messed around this season imho
Nah, that yard wouldn't be messing him around just to lower his mark would they?!! Recall backing him in the FW too!
Evening lads. Just been looking at the Arkle and seriously think there may only be 3 runners on the day Simonsig Overturn Arvika Ligeonniere all this build up to the festival and we could potentially be having a 3 runner race on the opening day. Absolutely ridiculous. Obviously hope I am wrong but what else lines up from the entries ?
Jezki wold be a likely enough contender as he'll be friendless on the day with everyone following AP on the jolly. Who WILL win by the way but don't take that to the bank just in case
7/1 Jezki? Now I will be setting my alarm for this, fancy him strongly. My Tent Or Yours wont get up the hill, Un Atout will be in the RSA next year, Dodging Bullets isnt good enough, Melodic Rendevous no chance unless its a bog, River Maigue - ill crack the jokes, Champagne Fever - held on form, not got the speed, Pique Sous has an e/w chance, wont beat Jezki forget the rest and that ladies and gentleman, is the Supreme, machine - take the 7s
14:40 Southwell - Hot Sugar (On decent mark. Might do better on this surface for trainer who gets a winner or two here. First time tongue-strap).
He did something similar with Balgarry in the Coral Cup at last years feastival and fully committed from the top of the hill which is frankly suicide on either course at HQ. Two poor rides from someone so experienced.
No bet for me today...going to spend some time going through the festival handicaps. No Homework = No Winners.
Surely not, we had six last year with a similar sort of feel with Cue Card and Al Ferof playing the Overturn and Arvika positions. I say we will have five runners, the problem with this race is that those who have a mark of 150ish are unlikely to run into a place and may as well go for the Grand Annual (His Excellency for example gets 11st 1 in the GA) and any yard who has two good horses over the trip will probably re-route one to the Jewson.
