Is this with regards to the thing i posted about Park? It's only "ripping off" if you don't reference where you got your material from! It's a footie forum, not a flippin' essay, plagiarism doesn't factor when discussing the size of Anton's arse.
Everyone's here to get the latest news/opinion on QPR, so if you think an opinion expressed on another site would be of interest to those on here, then it's worth posting imo. I'd agree that it's a bit off if you're pretending something someone else has written is your own though

No Uber , I mean Copy & Pasting the whole article, so their site doesn't get the hit (that's why the write the stuff)

Thanks. In that case I'll vote "I couldn't give a toss whether its copied and pasted here, or whether there's a hit on their website... is that important for their advertising revenue or sumfink"... there's a button for that, right?

Been pissing me off for awhile Cerny, & then that other thread with the other opinion about it was posted, needs deciding one way or the other.
Pasting a whole article by Clive or Roller or someone similar on here is out of order IMO.
I think this is about folks missing out on their blog counter "hits", that is sometimes linked to web advertising revenue based on website hits. I agree with this, but have no issue posting articles off the Beeb - best compromise is to post both the article and the url link (good ole Earl).
Ive always said on here that when copying and pasting articles you should atrribute to the author with a valid link to the article
Only downside to that as you say is people will read it here and wont bother using the link, why would you after you have read it here?

The entire digital world is copy and paste ... If you want to post or write online ... pay the piper (I don't think people understand that any old rules and ideas are dead as dead) We are all journalists and anyone attempting to become a acclaimed writer ... forget it as you can be ruined in a blink of an eye. I have done a few bits on this in the past to help a friend's son at Uni and They are having to rethink the whole journalism thing... The reason is simple .. quantity of opinion and ease of reply. Twitter has changed everything as you have only 140 characters to get your message across and people just want read and go ... that isn't going to be de-invented ever as its tapped straight into how we as human what the data to flow. Professional website generation is on the fall, as anyone can build a blog site in Drupal or Wordpress if they even be bothered! A forum website like this can be built very easily. The future will be little communities like ours here ... Our board attracts a fair amount of reader from all other clubs I am sure ... so what makes the difference? The posters
You can be sure that this board is one of the first port of calls that most Journo's look and gauge everything QPR.
Did you know also that more and more people are finding their entertainment online ... no wonder people want to try and control it they have a hooked audience so copy and paste anyway lads rob everything you can while you can.

It's not a copyright/ broader ownership issue Dave, this in particular is about a bit of respect for fellow QPR fans who write these blogs wishes. In general I agree with you, but in this case lets be nice.

To be honest Norfy, I think that this whole poll is a bit of a joke. The thread title and the way that the question has been phrased isn't exactly unbiased, and the options don't leave much room for compromise.

Harry Redknapp says 'massive offer' made for QPR's Chris Samba by DT rising superstar
QPR recently rejected a "massive offer" from a Russian club for Christopher Busstop Samba, according to manager Harry Redknapp.
Samba arrived from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala for a club-record fee of £12.5m in January, but was subject to an even bigger bid before the Russian transfer window closed on 27 February.
"We had an offer for Samba right on the deadline and the chairman turned it down," said Redknapp.
"We had an offer of more money than what we paid for Samba."
Redknapp, who steered his side to within four points of Premier League safety with a 2-1 win at Southampton on Saturday, revealed he left the decision in the hands of chairman Tony Fernandes.
The chairman asked me 'what do you think?' and I said 'it is up to you, it is your club, it is your decision'.
"I left it to the chairman. He came back and said he had turned it down and said 'get on with it'."
Since Fernandes bought the club in August 2011, QPR have signed 28 first-team players, including six in January.
The ex-Blackburn defender, 28, played an important role in QPR's win at Southampton, and Redknapp is relieved Samba will remain at Loftus Road.
"The player probably spoke to the chairman but it was really important we kept him," he said.
