I was just looking through our results and noticed that no one has beaten us by more than 1 goal in the league. So that is telling me we have been " in the game" right up to the final whistle. If we could just find that extra little bit.............
Our problem is then when it's not our day and things don't come off we don't know how to dig in and still win matches. Cardiff do I think that's down to a lack of experience
I think we are lacking a tough tackling midfielder. I feel that we are too inconsistant for automatic promotion
I was saying this on Friday night when (according to Radio Derby, again) Watford won a match they didn't deserve to win. Can anyone remember us doing this? We weren't great against Boro and Wolves but we were still the better side (just). I asked a Forest fan the same night what his prediction was for our match and he said you'll either win 3-0 or lose 1-0. It's so true. When we turn up, no one can live with us. When we don't, we get beat. When QPR went up they never impressed me once but they had a knack of winning when they didn't deserve it and we don't have that.
We easily should have won the match. Kane had a sitter, i would have scored that with both feet tied up, but this is football. Who cares what happens anyway, sooner or later we will be in the premier league buying 30 million quid players.
... bit early to be drafting your Xmas list to Santa TC ... the only rumours of points deduction in this division at present seem to be revolving around Watford ... and I can't see that heppening either ...
