We need to decide were we are going as a football club, how do we want to play football and go for players to come in a fit the mould. IMO with defensive recruits we need to add pace, power, composure but we need to get players in who are the right age, 30 year olds are not good we need players who are approaching there better years who are going to learn and get better and also have re-sale value. Would love it if we could keep Rose but I see MoN was at Croatia's game last month, I would not be surprised if we are back in for Strinic but I suppose why couldn't we get both of them, would offer us great competition at left back and Rose has shown he can do a job in cm or on the wing if needed IMO we need a RB, a LB and 3 CB's I would like to see next year LB - ???/Colback RB - ???/Gardner CB - ???/???/???/O'Shea wouldn't mind us going for Naughton at Spurs as the RB, either Rose or Strinic in at left back and as for Centre half, MoN and his scouts will have there work cut out

Titus is better than John Oshea but didnt get carried to a load of medals at Man Utd so wouldn't get picked ahead of him. Oshea's contribution on Saturday was heading the ball into the stand off his square head. He's nt good enough. I hope we buy rose, two centre backs and a right back. Get Brown and Bardsley off the wage bill
The only one I would keep is Gardner, I know he gave a pen away at the weekend but he has been consistently decent all season and has chipped in with a couple of goals. He can also score a pen and free kick, it would take a lot of money to get someone better and that money would be better spent at CB and getting Rose. I agree 2 new first choice CB's are needed.
Defence has been where we have been strongest weirdly. Third best clean sheet record I'm led to believe.
Id say that is because we are a negative team who play with 9 players in our own half, the actual defence isn't great. We are desperate for a proper right back who can help out the attack, on the other side Rose has only played 17 games and whilst Cutback does ok defensively he offers absolutely nothing going forward which means whoever is in front of him has two men on him constantly. We really need a classy centre half too with a bit of pace and who can pick a pass. 4 players for me in the summer, rb, lb centre back centre midfield if there's any money left an additional centre half. Id also try and swap Connor Wickham for Jordan Rhodes or Charlie Austin
