I found it quite surprising that, as I recall, not a single pundit predicted a Spurs victory Jaime Redknapp - draw Paul Merson - draw Mark Lawrenson - Arsenal win Alan Green - "There's no way I can see Arsenal losing this one" Dunno what other pundits thought The only one that predicted a Spurs win was Graham Taylor! Ok so one did predict a Spurs victory.. Obviously doesn't bother me since Spurs won (woo), but for all the media talk regarding the shift in balance of power and the fact that this is Spurs's best opportunity to overhaul Arsenal, they still felt that Spurs wouldn't win.
Lawro, like most pundits, came out with praise for AVB eventually but you get the feeling they've been waiting for him and Spurs to slip up. If he really rated us he'd have predicted us to win at some point during the last 5 or so games he's had us down to lose or draw.

I honestly don't know how Alan Green is employed by the BBC he is the most bias Liverpool supporter going. I switch off as soon as I hear him talking on the radio. God I hope we beat them next. I imagine he can't see Liverpool losing that one either.
The media has bought into the myth that AFC is a perennial dead-cert top 4 finisher. They believed that about 'Pool, too, of course, and we all know how that turned out.
Sack the bloody lot of them and bring in the spurs not606 community, almost all of us predicted the correct result
One of my favourite pieces of bitchy character assassinations is the way Private Eye only ever calls him Piers "Morgan" Moron. Or just Moron. Massive bloody idiot.
Piers morgan never shuts up about Wenger and tweets something #WengerOut related, every week. But as I said to piskie, I don't understand why so many fans are turning on him as the reason why they aren't performing. The root cause is the board, IMO. - If you sell your best players and don't replace them adequately, there's only one direction you're heading: down the table. I'm not sure the of in's and out's of it, as Arsenal have been funding a new stadium in recent years, and to be honest I don't care. But blaming a man who's had a very successful lengthy period in charge, won trophies, AND managed to secure CL football season after season despite his best players being sold, is quite some achievement. I don't like Wenger, but fans like Morgan need to get a bit more realistic. The man doesn't achieve what he has, and then just suddenly become a **** manager all of a sudden.
Roo: completely agree with everything you've said. Frankly with all the players they've sold I'm surprised they are still getting anywhere near the top!
It's worth remembering that pundits (90% of them) do have an agenda as do the broadcasters. The fact is, Arsenal, globally, are bigger than Spurs so its obvious the pundits are pandering to their fans (they have to). I would guarantee that even if United were midtable and City top, few pundits would predict United to lose.
