So are we all happy that we are better than last year and have progression?

    The amount of let offs we had to day was unreal.

    Its only by sheer luck that they didnt get 4 or 5.

    Imagine that ............

    Arsenal will finish below Spurs this season. A Club that makes less money in every area, and has a far lower wage bill, yet will finish above Arsenal.

    And still people think Wenger isn't dragging the Club down.

    For shame.

    Didn't know the season wasmover. Thanks for telling us all that fact. And here I thought there was about 2 months of footy left.

    You can see his point .

    Title = gone

    CL = gone

    FA cup = gone

    League cup = gone

    ahh the ubiquitous 4th place............still puffing along behind spurs and chelsea to get there.

    Still relying on other teams failure instead of blowing them into the dust like we did of old.

    The mark of the elites of europe.

    That £70m is going to be a lot more difficult to spend well now,

    If it's even £70m anymore...

    The talk of a takeover could not of been better timed. Certainly get a number of disgruntled fans on their side.

    AVB has a point though. Momentum is with Spurs this time round. I don't think you can claw 7 points back. Your best bet is hoping they romp to 3rd and beat Chelsea along the way. Chelsea are still reachable, but you look certain to finish below Spurs who as the aforementioned said, generate less than you in every single department.

    At this point last season Arsenal had 5 more points and were 15 points from the leaders. This year they're 24 points off. Like it or not, that's a clear sign of regression on both fronts. Add in the cup exits and very very few convincing performances, and it's a downright depressing season overall.

    There are still 30 points available, so thank you for your pessimistic resignation, but I choose to believe that we can still get the points needed <ok>

    I think it's quite obvious that we've regressed. Apart from Bayern, we've been beaten by 2 inferior sides in cup games, that we would have spanked a few years ago, hell we would have spanked them last year.

    Get a grip, you aren't having a depressing season, it's just a bit below par compared to what you were expecting (I'm assuming you didn't harbour serious hopes of a title challenge). I'd gladly have Newcastle in your position every year if you fancy swapping with us? Do we have a deal? :emoticon-0150-hands

    Newcastle are on the up from where they were a few years ago. This is a time for optimism for Newcastle fans.

    Remember how depressing things were just a few short years ago when Newcastle were relegated? That's the current feeling of the Arsenal fans. Yes, I realise relegation is a million miles away, and I realise that Arsenal fans have been "spoilt" with such great standards of football for many years, but when you can see a very obvious, and very real decline at the Club and absolutely no-one doing anything about it, it isn't a very optimistic place to be.

    I'd swap positions with Newcastle (since if you're out of the Top4 it makes not much difference where you finish as long as you don't get relegated) if they'd take Wenger along with it. Not sure I'd want Pardew in instead mind.

    We are now No 50 (fifty) in the world according to IFFHS rating. And this is thanks to our past glory. Top 5 financially and just about top 50 footballistically...

    We should really be in the top 20 at least with all the monies and facilities we have. But being in the top 50 is ok considering we've won nothing for 8 years. Tells you how much Wenger's earlier achievements have carried him through.

    Whilst I admire what you are trying to point out, the IFFHS is a crock of ****. According to them:

    Chelsea are the best side in the World. Above clubs such as Barcelona (5th) Real Madrid (7th) and Man U (19th).

    Incidentally Man U at 19th makes them equal with Celtic and below such clubs as FC Basel (13th), Fenerbahçe (14th) and Lyon (17th).

    Arsenal (50th) are also behind such giants in World football like: Club de Futbol Monterrey (Mexico), CD Universidad Católica Santiago (Chile), Levante (Spain), FC Copenhagen, FC Twente, Anderlecht, Club Sport Emelec Guayaquil (Ecuador), Spurs !!!!!! (37), Genk, Malaga, Bordeaux, Ulsan Hyundai Horangi FC (korea), Kluj, SK Viktoria Plzeň (Czech) and Liverpool (25).

    Kind of indicates to me what a crock of **** that list is.

    We may not have won a trophy for 8 years, but come on. Spurs? Genk? Liverpool? Levante? etc.

    Really? That's some off-key measurements then. Spurs being 25 when we are 50 is rediculous How do they measure it?
