With our fanbase now going global-We have a following in Holland,Denmark ,South Korea etc.Do you think we should play our home Europa cup games at the Millenium Stadium? Not only our foreign fans would want to see our games<especially if we progress in the cup> but also a lot of welsh people<including our little cousins up the road> might like to see European games.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!!!
Well we took 35K to Wembley and many supporters still complained that they could not get tickets,it will be the same scenario for the Europa games as the Liberty will not be big enough to cope with demand!
No ! Iff they cant all get in the liberty they can watch it in the local pubs & hotels here and spend thier money in swansea, our neighbours have had thier noses in the wales money pot long enough if they want it let them work hard for it like the swans have !
I would definately prefer to remain at the Liberty, a massive stadium like the Millenium can lack atmosphere when not full. Let's not forger, should we progress to Europa League group stage, we may not be up against any glamour European opposition. The Liberty will be fine in my book, looking forward to some cracking games next season!!
The Only problem with the Millennium, well two actually, the first is, its in Kairdiff, and second the pitch is no where near the quality of the Liberty! I know as I was at the millennium, watching team GB, and our Joe and Sinclair, and the pitch was kicking up all over the place, and at half time they had an army of volunteers with bucket and spades picking up the Debris and flattening the turf, they really don't have a clue at the Millenium!...........
In answer to the OP, never!!!! Just still amazed that we can now put up a post with the title Swans In Europe. Only a few years ago this seemed an impossible dream, and the only chance of seeing that headline was in the TV listings for a new nature documentary!!! STID !!!
Asking if Swansea should play in the Millenium is akin to asking if Spurs should play in the Emirates because it is bigger. Liberty all the way.
This poster did make me chuckle. **** mine they are not in the PL yet and this guy is planning for the Champions league. They are a deluded bunch. If ever we grew to the size that it may be considered would be great. Nice to know it could be at our disposal for a very big game one day! Yeah i'm sure if Wales needed a game to qualify or if Wales got to the play-offs again just like Euro 2004 they would use it, the FAW love the money. Dare I say it, could it be used for a Cardiff city european game? . I really think its quite a shame that Cardiff as a city have never really been able to show off that stadium on the european football stage. Obvioulsy the CCS is more than adequate. But if ever we were ever in a position to play a big European team for any particular reason. Lamboy88 Posts: 259Joined: Tue Mar 01, 2011 6:47 pmLocation: Cardiff But in answer to the original post. Simples NO.
