Agreed SweetBlue - according to their board, they'll be up by then and we'll be scrapping for 6th spot...........
God help us if they win their next game, they'll be discussing how they're going to tear apart the premier league.
i was going to reply SBFF but whats the point, just let them stew in their own delusion and crap whilst we sit 5 points clear at the top of the table, with one game in hand. we've had 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses in our last 10, hull have 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses in their last 10. even their own fans have acknowledged that the person who made it is a troll, so feck it!!
Every board has them and I know most Hull fans are just as worried as all the teams around them are about getting enough points to go up, nothing is decided yet but we do hold sway. Fact is I seen the post and was a little bored and so I went in
Don't want to be pedantic SweetBlue, but Henry V didn't quite say that, unless he was wearing breeches at the time. Mind you if he was from Brighton, he might have meant it that way................ "Once more, unto the breach dear friends, once more"......old Willie certainly had a way with words. Talking about old Willies, we're back to Brighton again...............
The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen, man’s hand is not able to taste, his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report, what my dream was. I will get Peter Quince to write a ballad of this dream: it shall be called ‘Bottom’s Dream’, because it hath no bottom; and I will sing it in the latter end of a play, before the Duke. Peradventure, to make it the more gracious, I shall sing it at her death. Bottom.
Dave: Who are you talking to? Wally: I'm talking to you, you prick. Dave: Why don't you look me in the eye and say that? Wally: I would if I could but I can't, I'm blind. Dave: You're blind? Wally: Yes I'm blind, what are you ****ing deaf? Dave: Yes, I'm ****ing deaf! Wally: You're really deaf? Dave: I'm really deaf. Wally: Then how do you know what I'm saying? Dave: Because I'm reading your lips now you want the job or not? See No Evil, Hear No Evil. On Channel 5 at the moment.
I think we have 70 points and I cannot see how a team with 65 points should be above us in the table. Have we had a points deduction? jck
It is what it is Sparkey, into the breech as in into the gun barrel to be shot out again, but maybe not this time hey?
And here is some Palace fans point of view, http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=130279&page=3 Strange we are having a wobble, but are doing better than some teams around us over the last 10 games.
Just read that link Sweet. I hadn't realised how much debt Leicester were in till I read that Palarse link.
The question is Bob, do Leicester know? To me it just seems that other clubs are banking on us failing to achieve their dreams. We don't have that worry, it's all up to us and this a vastly different teams to ones gone by.
All I want is an auto place, premier league and saving face...with one enormous stash of cash...now wouldn`t it be lovely. jck
I think that thread is embarrassing, but we've cut the difference between us to five points, if you're not concerned about that, then it's you who's deluded. Yesterday, we played our new strike force for the first time and we scored five, I think that should concern any club around the top of the league. I still think Cardiff and Watford are most likely to secure the top spots, but if anyone is going to crash the party, then it will be us.
I hear you've just changed your name to the ladybirds and your new kit is red with black dots. Is this true?
We'd obviously rather still be 11 clear, but 5 with a game in hand and more importantly 7 plus a game from Watford is just fine. We need about 6 wins to make sure of promotion, that feels very doable and it's why we're not getting stressed about 'only' a 5 point gap. I wasn't overly impressed with Watford on Friday. Don't get too excited about smashing a ****e Brum team, but I do think Hull have a very good chance. I'd prefer it if you or Palace took the other spot, not overly fussed on the loop hole Watford are exploiting. I said months ago I'd take 2nd place as the prize for first or second is identical, if you put a run together to catch us then fair play. I'd don't think we'll **** this up enough for 2 teams to though. We've played well in both our defeats, we're not even close to bottling it and I'll be very surprised if we don't take 3 points from Derby on Tuesday night.
Lambretta Man...............Has Hull ever changed their strip from bumble bee yellow and black? In fact I'll make it easy for you. For most of the club's history, Hull have worn black and amber shirts with black shorts. These black and amber colours are where Hull's nickname, The Tigers, originated from. However, in the club's first match against Notts County in 1904, white shirts were worn, with black shorts and black socks. During their first season in the League, Hull wore black and amber striped shirts and black shorts, which they continued to wear until the Second World War with the exception of the 1935–36 season, in which they wore sky blue shirts. Following the end of the Second World War, Hull spent another season wearing sky blue, but changed to plain amber shirts, which they wore until the early 1960s, when they swapped back to stripes. We are not the only club to change shirt colour.
I'd have bite your hand off if you had offered me a 5 point lead with a game in hand at this stage at the start of this season, it's not about being deluded, we'll leave that to your lot who win a game and then talk about being champions. Of course anything can happen, all we have to go on is the likely scenario based on our play at this time, and in that area we're doing ok, well enough to hold on. You are showing nothing that suggests you will overtake us as things stand, but everything is subject to change although games are running down fast. Where we are looking is 3rd place!! and how much we have on them, who cares what 2nd place are doing if we keep distance between us and 3rd! PS: ladybirds, yes well I think we'll leave you to enjoy a little snigger to yourself over that.
