Appreciate the kind remarks, must be the Bergkamp side of you, as he was a gentleman and had good taste in players (his idol was hoddle).
God what a horrific second half ( from a spurs point of view ) ... can't believe the character we showed after you scored ... I honestly can't remember you coming very close apart walcotts free kick.
Probably the last straw for me. I rate our chances of a top-4 finish as unlikely ~25%. Looks like Channel 5. Wenger didn't strenghen in the winter. He thought this team was good enough. They're not, he needs to go.
I just don't see it happening, even though we're both saddled with dodgy managers. They have a genuine world class player who can win matches on his own, and we sold our one.
after each defending calamitous game they try to make out its some kind of freak accident. That might wash a few times , but not for ever . The coaching is **** ......... period.
I am still holding little hope of us overtaking Spurs, and it depends on next week. We badly need, Liverpool to beat them at Anfield or it's over for me. Tragic thing is even Liverpool have a world class player in Luis Suarez who can possibly win that game for his team.
Lets look at some positives from today . We passed the ball really well , overall individual skill level is good , whoever takes over from Wenger wont have too much to do. get some work done on the defence and it will work . The PLAYERS are not bad just the tactics although Ches needs a few spells on the bench to remind him of his responsibilities. He is far too casual on occasion . The attack needs more work . A REAL quality striker or 2 would sort that out at a stroke . The midfield works perfectly if a little slow to move the ball sometimes. Overall i am optimistic about the long term future once the " stumbling block " has been removed. We are almost at the bottom of this decline ..the only way from that can be up .
Having Liverpool breathing down our necks is preferable to Spurs going ten or eight points in front by this time next Sunday. Also, of course, we do not play next week, so our game in hand which is against Everton at the Emirates becomes a massive game.
Perhaps we should stop talking about 4th place and this or that happening, and just take our games one game at a time? ****ing hell, it's been the same bullshit talk from some of you for months now, IF SPURS LOSE THIS GAME, OH WE HAVE A GAME IN HAND OVER THAT TEAM BLA BLA BLA, when you repeat that SAME BULLSHIT for months and you're still out of the top 4 and the gap has increased, it's time to just say ok let's just see how we do ourselves, **** me, some people on here still don't get it, that we're not good enough.
