He has a high salary, yes, and one of the most gratifying things about Rooney is that he is clearly trying to earn it every game, sometimes to the detriment of his performance as he tries too hard.

What you will never see is him taking the evening off during a game, which means he is forgiven when he has a bad day. Which is rare.
I think you expect too much, no one can be perfect at all times and, as this is his job at the end of the day, you have to ask if he is doing it. Given our position in three competitions and his personal contribution goals and assist wise then the answer is yes.

no one is questioning Rooney's commitment or attitude , i just feel he is costing us possession in recent games, making some wrong choices and some sloppy passes ..tbh we can't afford to do that in some of big matches awaiting us especially in CL.
could be the fact he work hard every game and may be the fact he is not rested enough, which is causing all that .. i know he want to play every game, but sometimes he need to be rested to be mentally and physically ready

stats aside? is that because you can't fathom that 6 goals in last 8 games for club and country might be alright form? Thats not even looking at assists either....

And before when? you expecting a hat-trick every game?

Not being funny shwan but i always feel a bit more confident when Rooney is in the starting line-up, regardless of his form in immediate games beforehand.
Who would you rather play in his position if we need a win?

It's like talking to a brick wall lol you haven't given me a period of time when he was playing, by far, better football than he is now.

But to give you an answer that relates to some random time in history that you are yet able to locate; yes i do think Rooney's form as is as good as before (whenever that was). He is playing a different position to last season and is no longer the main responsibility for goals, yet he is still providing constant goals, and also lots of assists while linking with RVP very well too. He also seems to make our whole team tick and gel and also does fantastic defensive work for an attacking player. Not really sure what you're expecting of Rooney tbh...

what you mean? he was awesome even when we had CR .. i never could had fault him at that time ... and even when CR left.. he was still magical .. but now i can pick up on his mistakes.. many bad passes .. many wrong decisions
and he come to UTD and played years as the man behind the main striker ..and that his his role in england team too ..so i don't think he is playing at the wrong position at all.. sure he can score more goals if playing in RVP position , but we have RVP now, who is doing better job than Ronney, not even talking about scoring goals but in term of keeping possession
Rooney himself admitted in the past 2 seasons that his form was not the best

Your quest for Rooney perfection is well meant Shwan but it isn't possible really.

You must have noticed that it is always him that moves position to accommodate someone else?
When Ronaldo moved inside to become our main striker, Rooney was pushed out left. When Ronaldo left, he became our centre forward again but as soon as RVP turns up it's him that changes role again. He never has a nailed on position in the side yet is still mostly brilliant. Versatile too!

In spite of all this, unless he suddenly leaves, he will end up Uniteds record goal scorer.
    He will for England too.

Not bad for someone average and over rated I think.

Good result, but what a boring game it was due to the way Norwich were set up especially in the first half. Carrick played very well and is showing his true worth to the team.

Good to see Fergie not underestimate Norwich and put out a strong side for the game. We have learnt the lessons from last years bottle job by not getting complacent against the weaker sides.

I really don't understand critisim of Rooney.

Anyone who attends any United games when Rooney plays will be able to tell you what Rooney does off the ball for the team is almost as important as what he does with the ball. His workrate, teamwork and movement are second to none.

Is he playing as well now as his best possible form ? Who gives a ****, form is up and down for all players so who cares ?

The simple fact is we are miles better when Rooney plays regardless of whether Rooney himself actually plays well or not.
