    Nick , do you remember what happened regarding the Icelanders involvement. Coates allowed them in with financial benefits to himself. Then he just took a back seat on the board , and gleefully watched as the Icelanders spent their money , not his , trying to make a go of it. And all the time he was just waiting for them to run out of funds , which they did , and he bought the club back for peanuts , as per the deal which allowed them in in the first place. Then he conned the city council ( the rate payers actually ) to let him buy the stadium on the cheap. That man just loves money.

    Coates allowed them in because he didnt HAVE any money to invest, it was only when Coates daughter pushed bet365 to go online with internet betting that the companies turnover increased massively which was years after the icelanders had gone. To have a go at Coates with all of the money he has spent IMO is crazy. Any other team in the prem outside of the top 4 teams would give anything to have a chairman like Coates.

    I never said that they were squandering millions out of their own heart, he is obviously making a good profit but he has spent £120 million which is the 6th highest spending in the prem so how people can have a go at Coates is beyond me, I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one

    In todays game all you want as a chairman is someone who will put as much money in as possible, and Coates has put more than enough money in. I have no problem with Coates at all.

    Ricc , I agree. The sad thing about premier level football is ( as we all know ) being controlled for money's sake. Even after the Coates regime departs , their replacements attitude will be the same , "make money make money make money"

    I should keep out being a vale fan but i cant .

    I think your club has been a good advert for the City.
    The football is poor and your manager has run his course, you have some good footballers but TP dose not know how to use them
    I suggest that you will stay up and i hoping you will change your manager to who? not got a clue
    I want SCFC to succeed so my beloved vale can play them in prem in 5 years....... yes and i am dreaming

    I was a Sailor (RN) and as such am impervious to pain, cold weather and insults.
