Top Notch and was by far the MOM. No surprise either to see Koren back to something like his best now Robbie is back in his best position.
Meyler was definitely my MOM, the guy was everywhere kept the ball ticking over and put in some great challenges, shame their keeper made a great stop from his 20+ yard effort that was heading in. A note on Evans too, the kid is young and looks a little tired of late but earlier on in the season he was immense... he'll come good i think. Also special mention to Koren, i'v not been impressed lately while he's been up front, but he showed yesterday how good he is AND was closing down and tracking back as much as anyone. The whole team performance yesterday for 80+ minutes was awesome, made Birmingham look a laughing stock. Onwards and upwards
Meyler is a great player. He's not in the team for his sensational passing. People expect players to be good at everything, if they were we'd be bloody Barcelona not Hull City. Football is a team game, players are there to do jobs for the team.
The other point about us buying Meyler (and Brady) is that we wouldn't have been able to get Boyd on loan and play him with the side we had out yesterday. 4 loans as it was.
And foreign loans don't count in the five, so yesterday the ones that counted were Stockdale, Elmo and Boyd, so we could have put out a side with Meyler and Brady still on loan anyway.
Think Meyler is absolutely class and hope he keeps it up. Cairney has the potential to be great, but I don't think I've ever seen him pass the ball forward, found it really frustrating yesterday.
