Am I the only delighted with this team selection? The inclusion of Park in the middle of a midfield 3 is a very smart move against a very busy Southampton midfield. Having Bothroyd up top is a smart move as it gives their WEAK defence something to think about and two quick wingers against inexperienced full backs. Taarabt needed to be dropped because as good as he is..he doesn't offer much else but speculative efforts that reach the second tier.
A bold gamble by Harry, my main concern is this would appear an untried formation which might just surprise us with a result or, alternatively, get thrashed. I guess we'll know whether we are still in with a faint chance or totally done for by 5.00pm...
Could someone at the game or watching a stream please confirm exactly what our formation is and who is playing where as soon as possible after kick off?
Adel has been our go to man. The pressure has always been on him to create. It will be interesting to see who steps up to the plate today without him.
4-4-2 according to this... http://uk.soccerway.com/matches/201...outhampton-fc/queens-park-rangers-fc/1293955/
I rated him at United too mate. That's why I'm amazed he's been so bad since he joined us. He has been dreadful.
Soccer Saturday have just said that Remy is on the right with Betty down the middle, so I'm guessing we have a midfield central 3, with Remy and Hoilett out wide. Is Remy a winger?
Ahh so Harry has given up and couldn't care less. Picking a team he obviously doesn't know from watching them day in day out at training etc. Going back to one of his old patches where he is disliked, yeah, he wants to lose this one. Seems to be it's some supporters that have given up already...so enjoy your nice peaceful end to the season.
Not going to get involved in any in-fighting tonight. We all have differing opinions and some will be proved correct whilst some not. It was me who said that I wondered whether Harry really thought we could stay up.......we'll never know I suppose, but after watching his reaction to today's win, it obviously meant a lot to him. Or was that just because it was Southampton?
A win next week will really get the momentum swinging our way as we go into a run of winnable fixtures against teams who are suddenly looking over their shoulders. It's amazing the difference today's result is making to our psyche...
Absolutely mate. Should help the players' confidence too. Huge game next week, but then it always was anyway. Looking forward to going for the first time in a while.
