If we go down we may be gone for good from the PL. The Championship is full of teams that are 'bigger' in terms of support and in far better shape teamwise than we are. If TF walks away we'll be, at best, where we were before the F1 Boys took over which was struggling to stay in the Championship. I also think our support would evaporate as so many regulars become disenfranchised from the club, it's a very sobering prospect. Wolves are a clear example of a club in total decline...
Aussie QPR I have to disagree mate. I really enjoyed division 1. Last time I was actually able to have a season ticket. Yes the players were limited but they showed professional pride and a number of them felt as passionately as we did about the club. Can we say that now?

God i would hate to go out for a beer with you. You would put a real 'downer' on the evening. You should have added that after all this a giant meteor hits LR and wipes us out? Lets just take it one step at a time. WE ARE NOT DOWN YET! TF HAS NOT LEFT THE BUILDING! WE ARE NOT WOLVES! WE ARE NOT BUST! When it happens then come back and say 'I told you so'. Whatever happens to my club i will be there Conference or Prem and fans that desert us are not real fans and they can F### off!
Not sure anyone can be sure whether there is any truth in this or not. I suspect that the divisions are true and that some feel that others aren't trying as hard as they are themselves. I have to say though, that my suspicion that Harry hasn't really got his heart in this is getting stronger every day. Staying in a separate hotel speaks volumes for me.
There are a lot of 'IF's' there Sooper. Of course you are right on all of them but as Ellers says, it aint over yet (Though today is IMO gonna be the day our fate is decided......Lose and we are as good as down...Win and it might just be the spark to ignite a revival. Another 'IF'.........IF we do go down then NEXT season is gonna be one of the most important in the history of our club. Have a bad season and finish mid table or lower and then the doomongers could be right and there will be very troubling times ahead.....BUT have a great season and get promoted back to the PL on the first attempt then we will look back on this as a real lesson and hpefully come back stronger and better for it. And if the 'disenfranchised regulars' don't want to support us during this important time...then they, IMHO. can go and f*** themselves'
The Dubai trip was supposed to be justified by a performance against Man Utd - regardless of the result - that the fans could be proud of. It clearly wasn't. Yet again we were subjected to a lack luster performance littered with basic mistakes. I don't know how much, if any, of this article is true, though it wouldn't surprise me in the least that a number of players have already adopted the attitude that we're down. I want a fresh start next - as far as possible - and that includes the current manager and his voluminous staff. Why did he employ Cotterill?
A win today, and much of this will be forgotten about. Draw, and we're still asking questions. Lose, and the balloon goes up and TF will have a full blown crisis on his hands...
I can't see any of this article, if not most of it being true. You QPR fans know more about the club and players than I do but I can't see how the paper got these 'direct' quotes. Some of the other 'facts' seem odd. Although, having been to Dubai, I know that tourism is the biggest industry there and over 150 nationalities live permenantly there, so alcohol is very easily accessible. But to spend tens of thousands of pounds worth of alcohol in one night seems unlikely. Also, even if Redknapp did stay in another hotel, which is rather odd, wouldn't the coaching staff be aware of the drinking and other bad behaviour, and therefore dealt with it themselves or informed Redknapp. I know I'm a Norwich fan but I'm countering what appears to be fabrications in the paper, so please don't shoot me!
My mate did say to me you wouldnt believe what was going on behind the scenes a few weeks ago. Im seeing him today so ill try to confirm if this and similar things happened.
Mirror the only direct source for this, but its being reprinted everywhere including the Telegraph. Frankly, I no longer care whether its true or not, the truth is that I can easily imagine it happening, which says it all.
Ellers and Staines, I fully respect your optimism and try to have the same perspective but I have seen nothing in our recent performances to say we'll get out of this nightmare. If we were taking teams on and having a real go I could accept we were in with a chance, but the Swansea game was a shambles and Man U was a capitulation, we were beaten before we started. My comments about us in the Championship are based on my memories of relegation in 69, 79 and 96. We kept most of those sides together after the drop but didn't bounce back and when you start getting beaten by teams you expect to win against it really does hurt. I can't afford the season ticket and each game I attend costs £50+ and I'm having to put up with our highest-ever paid players taking the piss, I love my club but I'm not taking that crap any more, there are at least five players I'd happily take a baseball bat to...
Here's Harry's response anyway: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...Harry-Redknapp-denies-Dubai-booze-claims.html Duno when they'd have got these quotes though!
Bang on Col. There is clearly a split in the camp, destroying any sort of team ethic and I agree re Harry. Don't think we'll ever really be his club, as much as I'd like him to be. Olly was, Warnock was and many others have been. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh
