Yes that's believe everything in a paper, won't believe it until it has quote's and is in a better source then the fail.
It may not be true, but that doesn't mean you can just call it bullshit because it doesn't paint us in a favourable light.
Meshes with what we've heard from a couple sources, namely that he's essentially on gardening leave rather than having been given a payout.
Its not that unbelieveable though, is it. When sacking a manager, a very prudent thing to do is carring on paying monthly whilst a package is arranged, then in the mean time if the guy gets another job the pay-off isn't as much. Its quite sensible, but dismiss it as bullshit by all means.
I paint bullshit until it is proven true, if you said the same for everything in a paper the world would be even more ****ed up then it is. But we all know papers like to over exaggerate to sell their ****.
Mark Hughes's case has already been thrown out because of misinformation on his original application form which described him as a "Football Manager".
He has declared it an innocent mistake; he intended for his CV to list the fact that he owned Football Manager.
Not displeased by this. Just wish Cortese could have sorted it all out in private before now. Adkins deserves a huge pay-off. And a hug.
Agreed, just think of all the stories we could have had in the quiet close season, that we've had to put up during!
If its true then who can blame him. We are certainly not whiter than white, but I do like Cortese dark side to the club.
Wow lets not get carried away.........as far as I can see it is not unfair dismissal at all. It is a disagreement over severance terms. As usual with the mail only half the ruddy story..........
Does support what another club said that Nigel wasn't available as he was on gardening leave. Paying him monthly until severance package is sorted out makes sense, but after what he achieved I would have hoped the payment would have been generous and settled early. For the good name of the club, it would be better to forget penny pinching and move on. Of course it is possible that the argument is over the size of the pay off rather than the lack of a pay off. Perhaps Saints are after a deal and NA wants a full pay off.
