Surprisingly they do have a 'Board of Directors' But i suppose since all the toys belong to Roman he's the one that gets to throw them out of the pram

Benitez needs to be careful, there are plenty of managers out there who lose favour very fast. Not so long ago David O' Leary was a big name young manager now he gets sacked from some middle-Eastern team and nobody knows about it. Not to mention our great ex-manager Phil Brown. Even Phil Taylor's career went downhill fast when he thought leaving us was a good move. I like what the Spurs fella has done, AVB, gone about his business quietly after getting dumped by Chelsea and now he's made a team arguably stronger than any of Redknapps in less than a season. Edit- meant Peter Taylor not the arrows man Phil!

I appreciate that, but they're just there to agree with whatever Roman wants, the chairman is the bloke who handled the purchase of Chelsea for him and another of the other two used to run his oil business.

i want to vomit in the eye of any "Fan" who claims the team/managers **** when 2nd 3rd 4th in the league .

I also think Rafa is right that the fans should take some responsibilities if they fail to make CL next season .

Afteral the manager will praise the fans and tell them how important they are to morale on a good day .
    morons!

He really did, we were just plain ****ing woeful under him. He immediately alienated all the players by telling them to take down their pictures of having won a unique treble the season before and then proceeded to play ****e like Coutinho. Soon as he left the same players miraculously improved under Leonardo.

It depends on the resources. If Man Utd were 4th I'd say the manager wasn't doing a great job.

If we were 17th in the PL I'd say the manager was doing a good job. The problem is after one promotion or good season expectation just goes silly. Look at the Phil Brown thread; people hate him because he had us in the relegation zone, regardless of the fact it was our natural level in that league and we didn't have a very good team.

Not so much a breakdown at all more like he is confirming what a mess Chelsea are this season.

No wonder Pep Guadeola went to Bayern Munich. Only a sadist would would work under the likes of Bruce Buck and Ron Gourlay and others.

Well said Rafa. Move onto a better club and job.

I'm sort of hoping Bayern win the Champions League. To think that the last two managers to win the European Cup had been replaced by their club within a few months of football would just show how messed up its getting.

Guardiola left Barca of his own accord, didn't he?

I think and hope that one of the German teams will win the UCL, preferably Dortmund IMO.

Yeah, but if Bayern win it this year then Di Matteo and the current Bayern manager will have been replaced (Guardiola already signed up for next year).

Aah, I misunderstood your previous post. See what you mean now.

Jupp Heynckes is retiring at the end of the season though, so there was always going to be a replacement - Pep isn't a bad one.
