There's no point mate. It's back to Primary School with some fans.

I think slagging a player on here is fine, it's just an opinion, but slagging a player at a game is absolutely unforgivable.

    Unless it's Simon Walton, obviously.

I think it would get more publicity if all the 1700 tickets were sold and there could be newspapers/tv at the service station getting people's views and reporting on the situation. Maybe supporters doing their own video diaries of the day. There is never going to be a full boycott without the club actually refusing tickets. I would rather see 1700 city fans there then 500. Once the match got underway I am sure many would regret actually not being there.

I don't agree with the abuse towards the Tiger Travel users. As I mentioned in a post further back, my neighbours, life-long City fans, happily Married, can't drive and so have to use Tiger Travel, haven't missed more than 3 games in the last 20 years and those missed were for legitimate reasons that couldn't be avoided/changed. The man, a Season Ticket holder since he was 10 years old, holds the Club at heart probably more than most on this board.

That's brilliant support if I've ever seen it, and I'd like to see anybody attempt to slate their support and brand them betrayers of any sort...

You know my source OLM. He told me when most of the East stand cheered when Harper got subbed one game the rest of the lads were really ****ed off.

Old flat top went mental as well.

    As you say, unforgivable.

    As for Clapper?

Can't see a single thing he's done to deserve all this grief other than give an opinion different to some others.

I think the issue is the word "support". I would argue that the 'support' in question is the singing and chanting to try to raise the players game. i would argue that from my experience, very little of that support comes from Tiger Travel. They can choose to watch the game how they want so it's not a criticism but an informed opinion.

An informed opinion? Wasn't you just slating Happy Clapper for making an informed opinion?

They chant as much as the next City fan, and I've been to a few away games this Season with Tiger Travel. Most of them do actually chant.

Come to mention it, I can't remember fans on Tiger Travel being so remotely quiet.

The fact of the matter is, those who use Tiger Travel are actually attending those away games which is probably more that can be said about those who like to slate them for 'dire support'. It's laughable. It really is.

Humerous as ever Eric, but i'm ****ing honestly puzzled by Dmd's "Tiger travel types" thing. I don't get to many away games, and when i do i'm usually in a car. But i have been on TT quite a few times, and well obviously,it's just a coach with City fans on it.

That's the only possible description. Old,young, nerds, lager louts, gays, dogs, cats, oran utans, mods, rockers and even ****ing new romantics ! Anyone who wants to get to an away game. But they all share one common trait, they're City fans.

    Dutch,what's a Tiger travel type ?

I think the point is that whilst you cannot question their devotion to the club, or the fact that fan support DOES have an impact on the players, old biddies like them rarely provide the vocal support the team needs. They are a different breed of fan, and, strange as it may seem given how they follow the team come rain or shine, definitely NOT the kind whose support has any effect on the players. Ergo, their absence at Huddersfield will make ****-all difference to our on-field performance.

Obviously, I know who you're talking about and I'm not at all surprised he was pissed off, particularly as Harper was quite obviously the best pointer in the team.

I also accept your comment about Clapper, I have no issue with a differing opinion(as well you know), but there's a little too much contradiction, just for the sake of contradiction, for my liking.

Point duly noted. Most of the older generation may not have such a vocal backing (I can let you know that these two DO in fact chant as much as possible though), but they're there and that's what matters. At the end of the day, I'd much rather the old biddies go, then have empty seats.

So, hardly scientific but other boards are 100%, the OSC and HTSC are pushing for the Club to refuse the tickets and on here, with one or two exceptions, it looks like the fans are saying the Club should be looking to refuse the tickets.

This is the kind of situation where the supporter's club should be taking a lead.
I agree with DMD that the attendance of City fans at this game will be seen as an acceptance of the treatment the WYP have decided to inflict on us.
If our supporters think this is wrong the supporter's club should be issuing a statement to advise people not to go.

I'd need to rummage, but I'm 99% sure the chairman of the supporters club has requested exactly that and supports the request to the club to refuse the tickets.

    EDIT

    http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=1159

We are disappointed that Hull City AFC have again been asked to accept these restrictions and the offensive slur upon the Club's fans the request carries. 'This is not the ideal solution for the club or its fans' is Hull City Football Club's reaction to the revised transport arrangements for the Huddersfield Town v Hull City Championship fixture on 30 March.

Amber Nectar, City Independent, the Hull City Official Supporters’ Club and the Hull City Southern Supporters Club agree whole heartedly with the football club and reject the latest concessions offered by the West Yorkshire Police (WYP). We implore West Yorkshire Police to see sense and drop these travel restrictions, increase the allocation to a full 4,000 and remove the unnecessary Category C+ labelling of this match and make it a category A fixture.

And again, we jointly request that the club refuses to accept an allocation of tickets unless these restrictions are lifted – and we recommend that all supporters who share our disapproval of these contemptible measures decline to attend the game. We are fans, not criminals, and we should not put up with this.”

I don't see what's so hilarious. The WYP are insinuating that Hull City supporters are all hooligans and they intend to treat us as such. Individual squabbles shouldn't be brought into something as important as this.
