HTFC fans don't like what WYP are doing.

Neither Sky or WYP can do anything against us if we boycott.

Think we overplay the influence us supporters actually make, does a few chants of come on you ull actually make much difference, boycott the game and make a stand or even better send a few token supporters with fans not criminals banners, let this happen and it will become the norm

Not every football fan attends a game to support the club. Well not in my eyes, I mean ****ing hell if the west stand are there to support the club every home game then they sure as hell have a funny way of showing it! I am not saying that is a bad thing they go to be entertained and the club get their money. Great. However like someone has already said, the club are kidding themselves if they think that the bus load of OAP's are going to make any real difference to the atmosphere.

Psychologically, can you imagine being a HCAFC player in a Stadium full of HTFC fans with none of your own behind you, nobody to run to when you score etc. There's nobody to counter-act the home fans atmosphere when the home side are on the up for example.

It may not be too much of an effect, but I know if I were a Hull City player, I wouldn't like it.

Oh they wouldn't like it? I'm sure they would get over it crying o the way home in their Ferrari. They are professionals, this really shouldn't come into it. Quite simply this is a matter of administration and has nothing to do with the management or the players. It's totally none of their concern.

If atmosphere was in direct correlation to performance we would have lost every home game 8-0 this season.

The only noise them on TT make is when Beryl comes round to get the MOTM at the end of the trip. You could hear a pin drop on there last time i went on one of their trips.

Don't expect any noise from them if they turn up.

Professionals or not, they're still human beings. Even if nobody sings, there's still someone there to cheer when they score.

Watch the sweeping generalisations about the West Stand.

Many of those fans pay twice as much as everyone else to support their club and it's not true that they're all silent, I gob off more than half the fans in the East Stand.

It'll make bugger all difference if no one goes, just like it'll make bugger all difference if people do go. Anyone who thinks otherwise is I'm afraid suffering from delusions of grandeur

Good idea. I think real supporters everywhere would respect our fans making a stand against this sort of ****.

Diddy, it's sad but true that I actually thought about posting a thread suggesting we all go, knowing that clapper would post the opposite view to me. He's that boring and predictable. His agenda is simply to try to disrupt. It's been commented on by several others.

The bigger game is that WYP won't give a lying **** if we go or not, that's not the issue. What they won't want is to have to detail the reasons for their actions because they have no justified ones. For them, people going will offer some credibility, that's all.

I don't know how just because some fans don't chant, it's not supporting the Club. Some fans are just utterly clueless and moronic. They've payed for their tickets, money goes to the Club, they're there in attendance and that's supporting. Chanting is just what comes with the support and can give psychological lifts to the players.

I respect those in the East/South/West Stand as much as any other City fan, as they've contributed to the club.

P.S. I think I've seen you OLM, there's often one guy standing up behind the bench with arms flying around in a pure aggressive manor. Is that you? ;)

Sweeping genaralisation to make a point. Some people are deluded about why people go to watch football matches. I agree that the atmosphere has an effect but as an isolated incident it is a poor argument against a boycott.

boycott the match maybe, but everybody has to turn up and watch it in huddersfield pubs...
staying home to watch it and giving the wyp a day off would show them!

    Not sure that's totally right.

When Harper was getting dogs abuse a couple of seasons ago I know the rest of the team weren't best pleased.

It was regarded as a ****s trick by the players and it really got to Harper.

They do listen to what's been sung, or so I have been told.

It's not just about going or not though. Part of it is the club recognising the problem.

Probably, I'm known as the East Stand Weststander.

I'm only actually in there because of the parking space.

In fact, if you check out last seasons 'activity book', there's a full page picture of me with the question 'what is this fan shouting?'.

Though for some reason, they never asked me what I was shouting, so I doubt anyone will win that quiz.

Just in case you could win, I was shouting 'are you ****ing blind ref?'. <ok>

I'm sure they do hear the songs and get pissed off when a colleague gets abused by his own supporters, sure it may affect the abused players confidence but doubt it affects the rest of the players performance
