2013 pre-season testing

Sam Michaels when speaking to Ted earlier said there was 8 tenths covering 15 cars? It was just hard to know where they sat in the spread. I am sure he is being very general because I would estimated that it is at best 10 drivers who are at the front and he didnt seem too distressed at the 8 tenths either.

 

Yeah but we will see the real RB9 tomorrow, which looks to be a whole new car!

The pecking order seems to vary from day to day from watching the test sessions on Sky. Red Bull seem to the team to beat but after that the battle for the podium looks very competitve. And considering they haven't tested in hot conditions, Australia could change things again.

 

RBR have got a ton of upgrades ready these next 2 days by the looks of things on twitter, plus this whole new chassis...

Updates... not necessarily upgrades. They wont know if they are upgrades until they have been run.

Same meaning isn't it? Or is there a bit of F1 lingo I missed that an update is less significant than an "upgrade"

Upgrade=Something Newer.

 

Upgrade implies better than what was there previously.... hence why Microsoft do updates.

Hope Bianchi wipes the floor with Chilton. He gets the last 2 days of testing which will all be dry and the car 100% updated, so he should get some good mileage hopefully.

 

Although I've nothing against Bianchi whatsoever, I hope Chilton wipes the floor with him.

Even a new floor for RBR tomorrow. This is the one they used today.
