Its naive I know Pirate, but if we go into this game thinking about how we are going to contain them rather than how we are going to hurt them, 0-0 is the best possible outcome.

Remy, Townsend, Hoilett and Adel seems very good. Then one of the CMs should join them and the other should cover their back. Also a lot would depend on our full backs. They must help the wingers in every attack. It seems so easy but I highly doubt we will suddenly become great attacking side

The only way we are going to win this is to put Samba up front and hope Remy can feed off him. Harry won't of course, thats plan B for when we are 3 down after 70 minutes

Personally I think we have all played a blinder this week.....we've all been somewhat understated in our expectations...at best a draw, very few considering that we are good enough to win.....no false claims about how what we are going to do to them....all very low key. Whereas in contrast the saints forum is full of expectation....all they basically have to do is turn up and victory is theirs'....and Harold is going to cop a right ear full of bile from their fans......it is borderline arrogance....They seem to forget they are only 2 points off the drop zone......someone was actually amazed that they have only picked up 2 more points than us in the last 6 games and how rubbish are we? Hopefully the trap is set and they fall for it hook line and sinker....life could be a little rosier by 5 tomorrow....COYR's

To the person who posted about 3-4-3 (sorry I didn't see who it was).

A 3-4-3 wouldn't suit us to our strongest capability, as you would have to drop Taarabt to make it applicable, but it could prevail. Personally, I think the 3-4-3 Wigan play is very effective, but the difference is their wide men in Beausejour and Stam actually deliver the ball into the box where they have players, and midfielders such as James McArther aren't afraid to get into the box.

Against Southampton tomorrow if they're going to press us high, I would counter that with a very attacking formation.

    Cesar

    Onouha - Samba - Hill - Traore

    Derry

    Townsend - Taarabt - Jenas - Hoilett

    Remy

Onouha should not have been dropped, Traore deserves to start ahead of Fabio

I have more confidence in Derry than any of our other player protecting the back four.

I've lost faith in both Mbia and Diakite during this season, so while I'm not much more confident in Jenas he gets my vote.

Really not sure about Hoilett, but he did look good against Swansea on the opening day of the season, and we need to gamble before we need snookers.

I fear that Redknapp's apparent predilection for caution, exacerbated by the humiliation at Seansea and the fact that its his birthday and he's going to get no end of unpleasant abuse from the home fans, means he'll err by going for a defensive setup.
