Apparently Leicester's accounts for 11/12 will be released soon.

This will reveal at long last the effects of Sven. The scars he left us will be with us for years.

Thank god we've got Nigel and his stability driven approach back.

I think it will only reveal the full amount spent. I don't think they're be any breakdown (ie how much each transfer cost). I'd like to know about the Yakabu loan. I've heard that, apart from paying a big chunk of his extortionate wages, we also paid a £1m fee for the half-season loan.

Yak's fee wont be included as its only for 2011-12 season

    Our transfer activity includes

Matt Mills, Jermaine Beckford, Sean St. Ledger, Paul Konchesky, Kasper Schmeichel, Michael Johnson, Gelson Fernandes, Neil Danns, Michael Ball, John Pantsil, Lee Peltier, David Nugent

New contracts for Sol Bamba, Richie Wellens, Andy King, Paul Gallagher

We sold Jack Hobbs for 1M and Dany N'Guessan for about 100K

And then in January we signed Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan and Ben Marshall for around 3M. Yuki Abe's contract was cancelled. Gelson Fernandes and Michael Johnson's loan was terminated along with Steve Howard and Matt Oakley

I think we will be looking at around a 20M loss for last season

True. Most of Sven's signings from the first half season were loans anyway.

Will be interesting to add up what we thought we spend and compare it to the actual figure.

Yak wasnt bad at £1m id say, was more his wages.

Also i dont think the 'scars' will stay with us, i think its more the chairmans pocket than the club.

You didn't sell Hobbs for 1m, it was either 500k or 800k, can someone confirm please?

It was 1M. Liverpool had a 20% sell on clause so we only seen 800K of it

Nigel has re couped alot of that money as assets

Kasper Schmeichel, Anthony Knockaert, Liam Moore, Danny Drinkwater, Chris Wood, Andy King, Ben Marshall, Ritchie De Laet and Jeff Schlupp will easily go for 20M+ when they leave the club

Sven only signed Darius Vassell and Sol Bamba in his first season along with giving Ricardo a short term deal

Transfer fees aren't accounted for immediately in your profit/loss so that'll depend on contract lengths and the remaining book value of the players you sold at the point you sold them. You'll see what you committed to spending in the Additions figure, but that'll then be spread over a number of years when it's turned from an asset into an expense.

    ITS £30m!!!

    wow.

at least the owners have funded it.

It wouldnt be too bad if we have something to show for it, but the only thing we have who would be worth something is Kasper really...

We've already got 10% back (Mills and Peltier). Not sure if anyone is going to pay good money for Beckford though. Maybe get something back on Danns? Not sure what we'd get for Konch or Nuge by the time they leave us.

To be fair, we had to expect it to be around £15-20m on that failed campaign but at least Nige has brought in some talented, young and cheap players that could garner a profit. That's the difference between a manager that knows this league and the youth system and a manager that just brings in his highly paid mates.
