It would appear that Mr Higgs is diplomatically asking for our support to cancel out the organised protest against Bristol City Council's acceptance of the Sainsbury planning proposal. For details read the post below which I placed on the 'Update Delay' thread previously. My words not Mr Higgs'. I have always been concerned that the local councillor who has been touting for protesting emails to be sent directly to the Secretary of State's office would cause confusion for his decision. IMO it was/is essential that as many folk as possible write in to support the decision made by the BCC in respect of a well informed debate supporting the views of the majority of local people. Its another example of the loud and vigorous voices of a well organised small minority attempting to overwhelm the democratic decision which has been made by the quiet majority! This what he has been touting; If you would like to add your voice to those requesting this application be "called-in", then you can send an email to the National Planning Casework Unit and copy it to the Secretary of State (Eric Pickles). The email addresses are below: [email protected] [email protected] I think it is important for us to RALLY ROUND and write in urgently So get your fingers working guys and make sure we put as many votes in for the positive support!!!!!
Yes, very important. I did my email yesterday.... Someone on the OS forum put a copy down for those to use, so I used it and added a little bit..... For our board to request this to me must mean they are not as confident as they 1st were. Apparently over 1000 have signed a petition to get this called-in and where the club 1st said its just a formality, they obviosuly want to chuck support for the developement vs all those who are against it. Get behind it gasheads, you can copy/paste/amend the above like I did and then send to the email address included.
On the OS they had wrong email details which is why they were reporting it wrong. But later in the thread it got the correct email address.
