The point is Musty that this could happen to anyone, we aren't the only board discussing this. I want us to beat them every time but I don't want to see them or any other club being arse raped they way they are. Worrying times indeed and I hope things like this do not become the norm in football

All wumming aside I agree Dill, very worrying, did we want a colour change? no, do we want a name change ? NO but we did want a football club and I'm firmly of the opinion that if not for the Malaysians it would have been liquidation and not just admin. I went to my first game at Ninian Park in 1963 and put in my time there through the 70's and 80's, moved away and because of ill health i'm unable to get to Cardiff that often. It's a shame but sadly I don't think there's a way back to those times. While i'm here a little confession, I've a family member on your management team
I must admit I only heard a snippet of the interview on the radio so not really fully qualified to comment but the it did seem to me that he was coming at this purely from a business point of view which is fine to some extent but has to be aligned with the interests of the Cardiff supporters which I have my doubts over. He made comments re the controversial colour change and suggested that it was no coincidence that two most popular teams out in Malaysia were Man Utd and Liverpool. I would argue the point that their success is not down to the colour they play in but more down to the fact that they have been two of the most successful teams from the UK over a long period and successful teams will always be popular regardless of shirt colour. Also having the 'Sam debt' position lingering in the background is a big concern and I must admit if I was a Cardiff supporter I wouldnt relish the thought of having him on the board even if it meant a possible financial resolution. So good news for Cardiff that Tan has come in with his money but I hope for football sake he doesnt sell their club down the river.
Was there really no alternative? I dont know what the situation was when he took over. Yes this guy has come in, (and many fans were shouting about how much money he had and how much would be spent) but financially are you any better off now than you were when Tan took over. I doubt it. Surely and it would of hurt, the way to go would have been to taken administration and have somone taking over your club, with the club and the fans at heart. yes it would have meant a drop, maybe. But, who knows where you would be in 10 years from now under welsh ownership. I worry for your club and this guy is just going to do what he wants with it. I just hope for the honest, genuine fans there is a club left for you when he gets fed up and taken his money back.
