Go and take a look at what Leonard Nimmoy Smith defines "Oldco" as. Maybe have a look at what he has to say about ceasing to operate as a club. I guess he is a desperate **** too
Grasping? I've told you before. I don't care what stupid fairy stories you want to believe. Just don't expect everyone to play along with the charade.
Apparently "no sporting advantage gained" has no meaning whatsoever. But dammit! The paperwork was wrong! It was the SFA's fault for not changing the rules before the commission. That would have got us cheating bastards caught!
Your club ceased to operate. This is a fact. I guess this meansyou all wasted your entire lives then. Look at me raging away
You are raging. And bitter. You'll now have to find another perceived injustice to fixate on. Good luck moving on.
http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/michael-grant-on-rangers-verdict.20381009 a reasonable summary I think.
It is a pretty fair summation. Murray's use of EBTs caused this but he should have been in his rights to do it if the documentation was in order. The Sfa and spl need to answer why they wanted titles removed as a condition. Especially in the case of the spl which is under the instruction of the member clubs. That said I don't know how green can say he's vindicated when by his own admission it was a kangaroo court he was vindicated by.
I haven't really followed to much about the whole Rangers situation, so this is just my opinion... Rangers: The company that ran them is in the process of being liquidated There is a new company running them now The team that plays in Division 3 is called Rangers They have started again but are still Rangers Football Club, due to the transfer of SFA membership (is this right?) If they make it back to the SPL, I'll see it as a Celtic v Rangers game - no longer the Old Firm derby tho, as I think both teams have now cut themselves away from that tag (thank ****)... just a Glasgow Derby. However, as they started again, can a football claim really claim the history of Rangers ... Questions to think about Is it the same situation with Fiorentina? Genuine question as I'm not sure ... What do their rivals think of Fiorentina? Do Fiorentina claim Fiorentina's history?
I've been bored with this whole situation for months. Can we not all just be content and laugh ourselves stupid at the fact that the team that play out of Ibrox, whether you claim them to be Rangers or otherwise, can only manage to take 1 point from 6 away to Stirling Albion?
I think its this simple Celtic fans will say its not the same club and they have no history Rangers fans will say it is There will never be an answer - but the argument will keep some people happy to go on and on and on and on and on for ever Ultimately it will be used to wind each other up. The truth is no one really gives (or should give) a real **** Its football clubs - not life or death
For me: Rangers: The company that ran them is in the process of being liquidated - yes There is a new company running them now - yes The team that plays in Division 3 is called Rangers - yes They have started again but are still Rangers Football Club, due to the transfer of SFA membership (is this right?) - yes If they make it back to the SPL, I'll see it as a Celtic v Rangers game - no longer the Old Firm derby tho, as I think both teams have now cut themselves away from that tag (thank ****)... just a Glasgow Derby.- yes However, as they started again, can a football claim really claim the history of Rangers ... no When they eventually make it back to the SPL, will they have the same level of success? I don't think so. The days of crazy spending and buying success as in the Murray era - gone The days of blowing millions on players when the club is on its knees financially (see mendes etc after they missed out on the CL money losing the kaunas qualifier) - gone the days of signing £4m strikers when they're skint then not even paying for them - gone Will your average hun see it differently? Yes Will they still think they're 'ra maist successful club in the history a world fitba'? Yes Will they still think they have a 'wonderful support' despite the decades of embarassment and disgrace? Yes Just the way things are, and the same old arguments will continue forever
