Ibe looks a good player but if Sterling has taught us anything it's not to put too much pressure onto these young lads and expect them to just get into the first team and stay there producing every week. Wingers are confidence players and when they lose this confidence they need to be taken out of the team. I think this has happened to Sterling. For me the U18s are a step down from League One football which he was playing before he arrived. A loan back to League One would be ideal for next season, in my opinion. Rossiter has been really impressing me lately with Jack Dunn not far behind him. Jones had a good game last night. Jerome Sinclair reminds me a lot of Sturridge and I think he'll be a top player. Had a bad game last night but against Sunderland he was immense.
Ibe is a top talent, he has a better physique than Sterling, explosive pace and brilliant close control. He's bound for big things. Still think it's a little too early for a loan move though, it's best he stays here as he'll be playing the system BR wants and sometimes a move too early can hinder their progress. He still has a tendency of holding onto the ball and doing fancy tricks when a simple pass would do, but that's to do with his age i guess. Sinclair and Rossiter looks brilliant as well, and Pelosi is a good talent too. Exciting times, hope they all make it.
At times it looks as if the ball is stuck to his feet, his close ball control is brilliant. His decision making could improve, he will try to take a player on rather than pass it, which means we lose possession more times than he gets past a player. I'd like to see him loaned to a lower league club where he can play against weaker defenders and improve upon his skills, and then work his way up through the leagues with different loans. The potential is definitely there, I just hope he can realise it.
