I think he's a good player but not a great.

I didn't say Modric isn't any good, he is, I just think Dembele is better.

I have never actually rated Modric.

In his final season at Spurs, he became very adept at being a playmaker in the PL.

A kind of Scholes without the goals.

    Moving to Spain wasn't wise.

Well this is a first a weekends other matches thread that has lasted a whole week. Might as well start discussing the next set ogf games here!

Away from our crucial game we have Wigan home to Liverpool in the late ko tomorrow. Reading travel to Everton and West Ham go to Stoke. Villa don't play until Monday when they host Man City. Hopefully not many points for any of our rivals there!

Sunderland are in danger of being dragged back into the fight but have what looks like a very winnable home game against Fulham.

Let's hope things go our way tomorrow and we are a few more points clear of trouble!

    COYR!

Yep. If we win, the odds are good that we'll be in a pretty enviable position.

Also, we've reached the point in the year where a six-day gap between games causes me to lose my mind. I've already begun tearing my hair out over the gap between the Liverpool and Chelsea matches.

Morning Schad! That's one thing I loved about the Championship, never had too long to wait.

I hate these gaps as well. I prefer it when you have a tuesday game to get over a loss or follow on from a win. Hard to get momentum. We'll just have to stay in both cups next year and the following year we will have the Europa. I hope Nicola won't be too angry that I didn't say Champions League....we all know how he hates negativity<laugh>

Really looking forward to that. They've always been the only hope for a Premier League team in Hertfordshire, and they're going to be exciting to watch as well. It's a strange situation they've got going with their owner, but it seems to be working out.

And Wolves look like they will be playing in League One. That's one of the shocks of the season for me; even with the loss of Fletcher, Jarvis and Kightly, I'd expected them to be a mid-table side at worst. They were flush with cash prior to the season, and with the money those three brought in, they should have been able to cobble together a credible defense...apparently not.

Wolves fans will be in complete despair at the moment but going down to league 1 didn't harm the long term future of a certain club. At least, after that club got taken over.

Watching the Wolves v Watford game, and I can't believe these two teams are so far apart in the league. With the likes of Johnson, Gorkss, Doyle, Hunt, Ikeme and others, they should be near the top. Watford are basically Udinese B.

The Watford experiment is going far better than it really ought to be. You wouldn't think that the reserves of a mid-table Serie A club would constitute the 22nd best team in England.

Maybe not this weekend. But lets just give it two or three games first. This was our 'easiest' game in March, the other sides around us still have theirs to come.
