We did Two Scavengers back when I was at school - mustn't ever change them!

As for over-analyzing them, I hated it at school always thinking "Nah, are they **** thinking about all these things when they write it" but after doing poetry at degree level its actually sickening the amount of things you have to consider/balance when writing them!

I feel a name change is in order. UncleAbsolutelyGlorious has a certain ring to it.

Obviously you would need to be kicked out of the A-team though, allowing me to change my name and offer my services <whistle>.

Really? I honestly thought we knew more about them than the people who wrote them! Couldnt stand it though, I must have been a right pain in the arse in English but came out with a B and an A.

I'm 23 now and I even did Two Scavengers. Thankfully I didn't do English at college nevermind University, it all seemed pretty pointless to me regarding the poems...I don't give a **** about poems, they have never helped me since and they never will...and poem questions are never needed on the ITBOX!

I just fell into English I think. I'm very lazy and English is something I found easy to blag, so took it at A-level. Then at A-level I did a quality little lit/lang course where it was as much media and sociology as anything (basically bitching about the conservatives) and got an A at it, so made sense to do it at Uni...Then got here and creative writing seemed like the simplest thing to blag again, so chose it and now I love it. Poetry literally has no impact in my life other than in class, but those classes are the ones I've enjoyed most since being at uni - been published in a couple of books now as well which isn't bad for the size of my bollocks when I walk through the uni library!

Did exactly this. Used Nothing's Changed, couldn't think of anything else.
Surprisingly finished with like 10 minutes to spare too, so went pretty well I think :)

Dreading that one, lord of the flies and pre-1914 poems, **** OFF! Biggest pile of **** I've come across in 16 years of living lol

Prefer early exams, just get on the bus home and then chill at home or go to gym. If I get in late I do **** all until I go to bed.

Absolute pile of bollocks, no offense to those who like it.

Don't get me started on the crap! Had to do a monologue as 'Eric' in front of the class last year for oral coursework (can see that being taken out of context) and was ****ting it. Got the A* in it, but hated it!

I remember seeing an old B&W film of 'An Inspector Calls' on TV a while ago with Alastair Sim in it. Not quite the type of guy you'd expect to make a film star, but it wasn't too bad. All shot in the studio it would seem. A bit of a budget film.

<laugh> we watched that last year. Didn't like it I'm afraid, and found my self laughing at Sim's facial expressions. The music was sooo melodramatic!
