Not uncommon with RBT investigating into different forms of flexing carbon fiber. The stewards are actually fighting a leading company in that field let alone 10 other teams to also control on top of that.

Said in 2011, whatever the FIA ban, RBR have always got a better version in the pipeline 4-5 months down the road to get past those extra tests. So the second the rules come in, the car only has to wait a few weeks for an even better version which the other teams can't actually copy it seems.

It's not a slit. If you're referring to what appears under 'Kaspersky', it's a vane (the like of which is also on the other side). It is probably intended to help set up an aerodynamic harmonic for following surfaces to 'feed' upon.

    No.
    For instance:

Kyle?: I wouldn't be too concerned about the previous response to your question.

Propaganda can quickly gain momentum, however spurious it may be…
    ;)

Yes, I agree to some extent. Then again, I'm sure this is true of most who must give a first impression but are then subjected to scrutiny!

Excited by the discontent of others, perhaps? I wonder if, given the chance, you might deliberately stir things up for glee? (!!)

I agree. It does look a bit 'GP2', doesn't it? But I think you could also be right about the livery.

I think the only way they'd snuff it out is to implement some kind of straight line test on wings. Not really practical though.

Red Bull looking mightily fast, McLaren failing to understand their car after a complete redesign sounds very much like 2011 all over again. Really hope McLaren get their act together

This is one of the reasons why Lewis left. They continue to be the architects of their own downfall. Of course things can change come Melbourne but the signs are not promising for them thus far.

Me too... They just don't seem to be the same super-efficient outfit that they once were recently.

I doubt the Hamilton v Massa duel from 2011 will reignite.

SilverArrow: is it possible you may have read something erroneous and then repeated the error, thus reinforcing it (incorrectly) to those who do not know?

For instance: with regard to Guttierez racing in the wet, I'm sure I remember him winning the GP2 feature race at Silverstone last summer. It was very wet.
I was there. Actually, I have a vague memory of it starting under the Safety Car; but no doubt you'll correct me if I'm wrong…

If you want to get personal, I suggest you try sending me a Personal Message. To publicly suggest I 'make up conclusions' about the possible future is, from you, quite astounding!

    Very possible, M.Brundle.

Nope can't agree or disagree as I never pay attention to GP2 races, as ASC and others know I don't respect the series as it's full of pay drivers. But I'll take your word for it MB.

Somebody said he never raced in the wet, I accepted it and stored it in my head and possibly very unwise to do so.

No no since you make up assumptions about me getting some glee about some conflict involving Lewis, I'm also assuming you are looking for another spar partner for this season like you had with manny and your dislike for Schumacher the previous seasons.

And why do we have to use personal messages MB? I'm talking about drivers, you're the one going in the direction of personal by making assumptions of me <laugh>

"It was about getting more miles in the car and getting myself back into the race mode, understanding the tyres, how to save fuel," summed up Hamilton. "All those things I already know but just need refreshing.

"There are some things that are better than my old car and some things we can improve. There are some real positives in the car. We are working on reliability issues and the negatives we face."

Hamilton added that Mercedes had some new parts to try later in the test and he expected to run them on Saturday, when he is next in the car. His team-mate Nico Rosberg drives on Friday.

The race pace actually looked better than the Ferrari which I found interesting! Have to be careful though, the cold weather is probably helping the Mercedes out and disadvantaging the rest so the W04 might still be a bit of a tyre eater. Here's hoping for another **** summer around the world <ok>

Fair point but everyone is in the same boat. Australia could end up being a lottery considering the temperatures are meant to be high.
