Which was the best for everyone? I shall go with the original at Valencia when he had "The Machine" clicking at high gear! The genius that is Senior Benitez: Man, Myth,Agent, WUM, Legend. Edit: If I have forgotten some genius lines, please let me know. Can't fully remember the full "small club" with Everton or what was said with Allardyce. I am sure he has some from the H&G saga!
It was Fergie that twisted the 'small club' quote, Rafa said 'small team' isnt a compliment but its not really the same as calling them a small 'club', he's really talking about the difference between the 'big' teams playing mentality when playing away and that of the smaller resourced teams mentality (Everton have done very well with that style of play, and has nothing to do with thier history or club stature) Fergie said of the 'quote' then went on to play a sub-par team against Everton in the FA Cup because he thought his 2nd string could beat them. Not 6 months after that he 'arrogantly' said of Man City a couple of months ago he also called Newcastle a Again with Allardyce it was Fergie that found some strange meaning in Rafa's hand signal (which his lapdog latched on to). You will always find he has problems with managers that cause him problems or question him, look how he has mellowed to Wenger now he doesn't see him as any threat. I guess what's got the Chelsea fans knickers in a twist, I like this one before the return final match against Chelsea in CL
The thing I admire about Rafa he's not scared of telling it like it is to the tossers at the top, unlike a certain other manager who kisses up to his bosses no matter how matter sh*t they put the club thru, basically cos hes a coward!! ps. Bluff the Valencia quote was a table not a sofa Id have the guy back 2moro, though BR is doin ok in my view too, shame theres no chance of these owners ever employin him, they would never employ someone who may say that they are a bit tight with there cash
I remember seeing one of those tunnel cam things a couple of yrs ago, it was when we went out to Atletico in the EL semi, it showed him in the tunnel after all the players had gone on the pitch , touching the TIA sign. You could tell in his body language, he knew it was his last European game as manager at Anfield, I suspect he knew he was gonna get sacked, he was close to tears, the way you are when you have a lot of good years somewhere, probably the best years of his life and you know its coming to the end.He was every emotional. He shared the fans passion, and thats why he was always be an LFC legend
He's a top manager and a top bloke. In a way, I don't feel sorry for him for what has happened at Chelsea because he should have known this was coming. But he deserves more respect and the British media refuse to give it him, and rather sing the praises for the likes of Moyes, Pulis and Allardyce. Do I want him back at Anfield - maybe one day IF Rodgers doesn't do well (after a few years). However, I would like him back at the club in a different role - Director of Football, Sporting Director, whatever you wanna call it. It's important to have people who are not only passionate about the club but also have the technical ability to take us to the next level.
I agree, I think he'd be a great man to have higher up in the club. He cares about LFC, but knows alot about football as well as having an eye for talent - so he'd be useful for BR for support. Not sure Rodgers would agree to that, but I think it would be great in the long run.
Look up the word rant, my jaesus manchester schools must be tits Besides the Oxford dictionary just has in its definition on Rant See Slur Alex Funguson
rafa is still a top man but is he still a top manager.... the water is muddy around certain things with parry and purslow but the fact remains had he simply done what torres wanted and bought mata not mr aquilani history might be different. I have to say rafa talks himself out of jobs and it took 6 months at inter and could be 3 at chelsea.. it might be funny calling it agent rafa but the guys career will be in tatters come may unless they win the fa cup again.
No fergie fakhts?? hmmm, interesting. There was another at a Chelsea presser where he kept mentioning "windows" " Today we talk about football, tactics, players, in this window. If you want to talk administration, my job, fans, that is another window, if you want to talk about that you have to go to that window." " Can we go to that window Rafa?" "No"
Yet another meaningless reply that actually says nothing NOF And now you clearly for all to see show you do not know what irony means You are killing me here please stop before I piss myself
Now if I have been Rafa and said that it still would not be Irony. A bit of study for you me boy. Seriously, stop spending so much time here, go read a book.
