To be honest, at home games, The GB lead the singing and it's normally entirely free of any of the IRA pish. The away support (rather than strictly the GB) is a different matter. I hope they pay heed, and I certainly hope it doesn't take sanctions similar to those imposed on Rangers to make the songs stop. There's an ongoing debate in the celtic support about what songs are OK and what are not. But I'm sure the vast, vast majority will agree that chanting 'PIRA' is just ****ing stupid. <doh>

AP your last post at last answered my apologist question and I now accept that you are not one of them but note that you admit that unfortunately they exist and are to my eyes fairly organised. It is my hope that they do not become the fifth columnists.

As for the original preamble to our discussion at the risk of repeating myself IMO Eremenko from what I saw all season played better than Izze.He was more attractive to watch possessed better ball skills held the ball well in our counter attacking style despite being kicked black and blue by ALL teams. In the first 10 games he picked up 1 card after all the teams realised how good he was and became a target he hit double figures and was sent off twice.( a very good indicator dont you agree?) He was integral to all we did,had an array of free kick options to hand and possessed a vision that at times was beyond the journeymen around him. IMO Izze was a very good fast attacking full back but not integral to your teams play.I have no idea how these POTY awards are run, was it a free for all then a short list, or did the SPL produce a short list? I have never mentioned dishonesty in any of my posts merely pointed that there may be other factors involved in the POTY Izze did indeed win it that is beyond dispute like the SNP won the election, that does'nt mean I have to like it or voted for them

And yes it is galling that for the past 20 years an OF player wins the POTY and posters from other teams may have to hand an argument for one of their players, in Killies name I profer Ian Durrant but I realise that may not be to your taste.

The rest of my post is IMO not a cop out but a widely held belief among the rest of the SPL clubs whether the OF like it or not.In the very recent past the clubs their fans ( not all) and lately the managers have brought shame to this league by there "sectarian" behaviour.Today in the Scottish parliament Alex Salmond used the very word " bigotry" in his speech about ridding it from football. Its a hot topic my friend and the blame lies fairly at the doorstep of the OF and perhaps the Edinburgh clubs to a certain extent. No cop out here.As I've stated I used the fanzine/terracing versions of the OF merely to get a rise, and it worked!!!

One thing I do like about this site is the ability to ignore other parties. Its an option I am using:emoticon-0105-wink:
