Did you read the whole report or just pick out the bits posted elsewhere?

Read the link I put up and then you'll see why repeatedly posting that quote is silly.

You silly sausage.

I read it. He talks about him assuming things and about the spirit of the law rather than the letter. In other words, bollocks. By the rules the players were eligible. End.

That's not a bad summation. Apart from the bollocks bit. It's a decent read for those who won't read the full report. Puts it in layman's terms.

The SFA/SPL should be hauled over the coals for it, but that won't happen. He's done all he could with the stuff presented - to the letter of the law.

MD is doing an awesome impression of BH.

I think he has a mangina.

Nope. He's just some guy trying too hard to find a spin by talking about his own assumptions and the spirit rather than the actual. The players were eligible. End.

Of course. Because he's a practicing Catholic and Celtic fan, he's got an agenda.

<laugh><doh>

I wonder when Peter Lawwell will strike.

Saying that, he's busy in Rome just now....

250k fine for the old club confirms they broke the rules.

Cheated.

Keep clinging on <laugh>

The players were eligible.

The fine was imposed for not disclosing the side letters as regards EBT's. No fine was imposed for actually using EBT's. From that we can conclude that using the EBT's is within the rules and had Rangers disclosed the side letters at the time the EBT's were in operation then the investigation culminating in Nimmo's commision would not have happened or been required. We would still have won those titles.

That's all there is to it.

So breaking the rules then?

What do you care anyway. You support a new club now.

You're right, it is all there is to it.

If there was no wrong doing, there'd be no fine....right?

Like I said earlier, it'll be interesting to see the repercussions, if any, when the appeals are heard/ruled on.

Only a ***** would see any of this as a victory. It's a failure, a complete and utter failure by the SPL/SFL seemingly making it 'ok' to cheat.

Paid the ultimate price though and it shouldn't be forgotten by anyone.

:)
