Iââ¬â¢m working at home today. This has been my first chance to listen to Danny Baker since he returned to Radio London after his cancer treatment. It is not surprising that he has won so many radio personality awards, he is brilliant. For those who do not know, his shows is a mainly chat, with a little music thrown in, centreing around the entertainment industry (music, films and a bit of TV) with pertinent emails from his audience mainly in response to topics he has set. I have missed this man so much, he is a genius. I believe he is back on 5 Live this Saturday morning too. Enjoy this man while he is still working, there wonââ¬â¢t be another.
Very clever broadcaster, but from my dealings with him and odious little man. I have every sympathy with him because of his illness, but I have known him as Danny "Don't you know who I am?" Baker for years.
That is disappointing to hear Eamon, but I guess not surprising. Anyone who goes out drinking with Chris Evans and Gazza will be a little full of himself. But to misquote the man “He is exactly what Marconi had in mind, when he legged it down the patent office”
His Saturday morning show on R5 ten years or so ago was absolutely brilliant. Don't know what he's like as a person but he is a genius broadcaster.
Noooooo! He's Millwall through and through! Reminds me of the time he was on Radio5, about 15-20 years ago.....He asked the question "What letter of the alphabet could you do without?" So I phoned up, to say that we could all live without "L", although it would give him some problems. I then gave him my new Millwall song...... "Mi Wa Mi Wa We sound like a Chinese Porn Star" I got on the radio with that, and he was highly amused!!! Very good to hear the Candyman back on radio.....Follow him on twitter too (@prodnose) as he is very funny too
It IS a QPR forum, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about things that we like.... Admittedly, this could go to a TV/Radio forum, or a general forum, but I'm a big fan of Dan, so I'm happy for it to be here!
Now that we're doing so much better,he may be persuaded to consider switching his allegiances......... Then we could talk about him all the time
Why the hell not? I was pleased to hear him again. His absence left a huge vacuum in the airways. By the way, it has been confirmed that he is back on 5 Live Saturday morning. Have a listen Ciarrai_Abu.
I agree, and will be glad to hear him on 5 live on saturday mornings again, I understand he's not everybodies cup of tea but IMO an honest footy fan and pretty funny most of the time. Also my take on the QPR forum is that it is a place for QPR fans to discuss whatever they want, and not a place for discussing only matters relating to QPR, maybe other see differently though.... If i want to discuss something about Cardiff for instance - then as a QPR fan i think i should do it on the QPR board and not theirs, am i wrong? Is there a forum etiquette?
