Evening folks, hope you are all well. We are now less than two weeks away from the festival, and preview season is into full swing. Last year, I invited members of the forum to add their own thoughts on a race, message them to me, and for me to put them together into a collaborative 'Preview Evening' format- much like the transcripts we see from the preview evenings taking place nationwide. I am happy to collaborate again if people want me to, so I guess the question is... Who is interested?! Here is last years for those of you who want a reminder of what the format looks like: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/129780-The-Not606-Cheltenham-Preview-Evening!-Horse-Racing There is no rush with the writeups and with 12 days until the start I'd certainly not want people rushing their own selections and thought processes- much could change with lineups and setbacks, so I propose we publish it on the morning of Saturday 9th March, so that all not606 members and browsers can have a look at the forum consensus and different ideas in the 3 days prior to the festival opening. With that in mind, I would just ask any contributors to get their thoughts to me by Friday 8th March. How does that sound? It will cover all Grade One races PLUS The Jewson Chase (which is Grade Two), and then a section for 'other fancies'- i.e David Nicholson Mares hurdle, handicaps, etc. -Supreme Novice Hurdle -Arkle Chase -Champion Hurdle -Queen Mother Champion Chase -RSA Chase -Champion Bumper -Neptune Novices Hurdle -The Jewson Novices Chase -World Hurdle -Ryanair Chase -Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle -Triumph Hurdle -Cheltenham Gold Cup -If you don't have thoughts on all the races, please do not worry- just send the opinions that you do have. Let me know guys, -TC
As the forums reigning Champion it falls upon me to throw my hat into the ring. I have to listen to my fans and my fans are screaming 'contribute' and 'enlighten'. I intend to do both.
This was a cracking read last year Toppy and well done for organising again, I cant wait to read the 2013 version.
Looks like I'm back just in time then More than happy to contribute again Toppy, though reading through last year's preview I'd humbly suggest the best tactic for forum regulars would be to lay my strongest fancies and back those that I state definitely can't win like Bob's Worth and Riverside Theatre last year
This was the best preview out of them all last year. Cracking idea can't wait and with a couple of the posters seemingly having moved on I'd love to get involved should you so require.
I'll sit back n let the more knowledgable horse folk have their say.looking forward to reading the forums fancies.
I'm in having for it all having missed it last years. Should be a great read again and thanks for organising it Toppy.
Was a great read last year. The tipping would have sent us all to the poor house but brilliantly entertaining.
