Lol. Don't worry SIG. I'm 32 also. I haven't taken a flask to a game before but it's not something I wouldn't consider. The Bovril I bought in the ground the other week was luke-warm anyway, so you are definitely better off with your own brew.
Looks like I've been priced out. I don't get to many home games with me living all the way down south, working Saturdays, and still paying for last years wedding, and now it's looking like it'll be even less. A couple of tickets normally costs me about £40 and a couple of train tickets puts me back a further £60. That's £100 for a couple of hours of a dodgy match, and half a day sitting in a piss-scented, flea ridden, delayed train carriage.
i think i'll end up regret not renewing - it'll leave a big hole on my weekends - so i'll probably stick it on a credit card, but these things should not be such a dilemma. my valley gold will definitely be being cancelled.
Just been chatting to a Southend season ticket holder, we are still cheaper than they are. No body likes paying more for the same product. But to put it bluntly, if the prices dont go up, there may be no football at the Valley to watch. This price rise may mean CP has some cash in the summer to spend. One last thing, all this talk of % rises, how much does that equate to in real pounds and pence over a full season. Skip the hot drink and burger, bring your own will probably make up most of the increase. Im knocking out the match day program from now on.
Just got my very glossy renewal pack - smart piece of marketing I'd have to say, but not a very bright move to produce something quite as OTT as this when you're upping the prices so steeply. Zebra Finance deal is first class IMO - sixteen quid admin fee to arrange a 0% finance deal with a dead simple application form - excellent value. Still not worth me getting one though...
What's changed your thinking from your Post #9, IA? If you think it's worth it from Aberdeen, I'd have to have a look at doing it from Tewkes.
I done the finance thing. £30 per month (give or take) seems affordable, not shelling out the full amount in one go, like I have done previously. Will have to do slightly less away games, like this season, as the ticket prices (inc. transportation costs) are much higher than our League One days.
Sent off my season ticket application form today,I really need my head looking at.But what else would I do on a Saturday afternoon, walk around Ikea,I don't think so.
I will be renewing though haven't yet haven't even opened the pack yet BUT it's charlton init we moan n groan but we love CAFC
I've had a look at the numbers. Not cheap. A lot of hassle with booking. Worth it for a few weekends away from the grey? Possibly.
