The dulcet tones of Motty are an absolute pleasure to hear and in complete contrast to the whining voice of Lawro

I always used to wonder who 'Benny Noon' was until I realised he was talking about Yossi Benayoun.

I honestly do not think that any of the commentators are good - ITV's are over senastionalist, poorly researched and generally United fans. BBC's are lacking any style and Sky's trot out endless and meaningless stats. As for the pundits, the only two that are really worth listening to are Gary Neville and Jim Beglin. I often turn the sound off and put the radio commentary on. but then there's Alan Green..........

PS - I will never forget Pleat's hopeless but ultimately hilarious punditry during the Michael Thomas inspired 2-0 Championship winner at Liverepool.

One of the funniest Pleat fails I ever heard was at Emirates a few years ago when Robbie Keane stepped up to take a penalty against Almunia. Pleat's commentary went something like this.

'If there's one thing . . Robbie Keane does not miss Penalties, he does not miss'

Keane steps up and misses the pen

'Well, I'll go and get my coat then'

To be fair to a lot of these English commentators most people can't pronounce Cazorla correctly, most pronounce the z the English way his name is Cathorla.
Miroslav Klose is always being said wrong as well

Lee Dixon and Gary Neville are the two best pundits on TV for me. Gary Lineker is good to watch as well, he tries not to be biased at all and generally makes MOTD more bearable to watch.

Almost all of the others are total bloody idiots!

Tony Gale is the worst commentator for me. He is vile and his hate for us is unparalleled in terms of those that commentate on our games. Still remember his comments from our game against Wigan, when we were 4-0 up. As we were passing the ball around and seeing out the game, he said the Wigan players should clatter the Arsenal players, because 'pro's do not like the mickey taken out of them'. <doh>

Townsend makes me laugh , the ULTIMATE armchair strategist.

If he ever got a coaching job he would be the perfect coach it seems .

His crystal ball is never wrong.

Oooh they need to do this , they are gonna have to do that , ...............

shut the **** up TWAT !

Was it Pleat who used to call him Gary Line Acre?

And Crooks is a twat and always has been. In fact hes such a terrible pundit that you should do the opposite of what he says.

I was going to say exactly the same thing, he's awful. Why is it ok to get stuck into Arsenal but not other teams?

Not as much as he hates Chelsea, can't figure out why though as he apparently was a Chelsea fan as a kid, then again he's adopted West Ham as his club now, I suppose years of playing at that ****hole makes you that bitter <doh>

Totally agree. They all keep saying 'spurs' instead of 'spuds' for some strange reason too....very strange!
