No great loss tbh. The big bastard had a straight six engine & did about 18 mpg. Now I just walk to work, lol. Off to bed, talk at the w/e babe. xxxxx
I can't remember properly, and the letter is up in the loft with my programmes and other stuff. Essentially it was an acknowledgement of my letter, and saying that he was aware that a lot of travelling 'orns had had problems that day. Nothing at all to demean the scummers, but then really, how could he? I suspect that he knew his place was to be above all that ill feeling, and be professionally focussed. In the same way that SAF and Rogers had to try to be yesterday. It's up to us as fans to stoke the fires, isn't it?
Lol, i bet people have changed their minds now, about 'My Watford'. And hopefully changed their minds about killing me after i said if Watford bought the whole Lut*n team, I'd still support Watford.
Not at all Lloydy if you re-read the original post you will see- Here is what I wrote in fact I endorse every word of my original post - the old Watford we all knew has gone - but the one that has replaced it could be even better
nice thread, and yes in 1971 we were playing in gold and black, much like wolves, were known as the golden boys-- hornet was the mascot, as opposed to brentford's bee.... but as ever a football club is its fans....
To be fair Leo Baz was hanging in there all summer ,thankfully he was Kicked out by Fransen and co ! we owe him a lot of thanks over the last few years as well.
I'm not sure that I would want to live through another period like 1981/82 again. That was a very strange time for me. So strange I don't remember much of it! I do remember discussing the sinking of HMS Sheffield in a post match drink at the Coach and Horses in Croxley.
Definitely 1981/82. My favourite game from that season was the home fixture against Sheff. Wed - a stonking 4-0 victory that convinced me it was 'our year'. I hope we reproduce it next week.
Hull City fan in peace. What a pressure game it is at Wolverhampton on friday night. I shall be watching it on sky live without a doubt. We can both do with Derby beating Crystal Palace the same night.
Palace are using a disgusting loophole in the transfer rules with Wilfred Zaha, and for no other reason than that I hope they crash and burn.
I have to agree with Norway on this one. I think 81/82 was the first season of the Family Enclosure at the front of the East Stand. If it wasn't, it was the first season I was in there and had a season ticket.
